I absolutely love your tutorials!! You do such a good job explaining everything in a way that I can understand and you don't try to get all technical and fancy. Thank you so much!!!!
Okay, I love the whipped cream topping. If you can do whatever it is that you did and just do it on top of the lid for the cup and drill a hole for the straw, AWESOME! COOL TUTORIAL!
Not sure if they have them where you are, but that silicone "brush" or whatever you call it, I find those at the local dollar store, in the makeup tools.
I believe once the water slide is wet, it’s going to be sticky on both sides. If you take a piece of scrap water slide paper and get it wet like you’re going to use it, you can feel that either side will stick to a tumbler 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am having a little trouble with some of my water slides lifting when I put on the epoxy. I try to lay them down but with the epoxy under them they are lifting. It seems to be just some edges. But any ideas in how to keep it from happening? Should I maybe spray a little bit of sealer on it next time?
I got it from Etsy but I can’t find the image anymore all I can find is T-shirts’ with the image on it. You may be able to google it. But I’m glad you liked the video lol !!💜
Omy gaw... That is awesome! This is truly the best tutorial on the easiest way to do this! Thanks! I have a couple of questions.... Does this "waterslide" only work for tumblers such as the one you used? I've seen it done on glassware but not as easy as you showed. Is this able to be used with plastic sports water bottles or plastic tumblers?? Also, what would you say is the durability of a waterslide decal on any given surface like tumbler or sports water bottle if it can be done on the latter...?? Thanks in advance☺️
So far I like your video, but the sound makes it very hard to follow what you’re saying. Especially since I don’t hear well. I’m hoping the rest of the video balances out. I am a newbie to all this and really excited to learn all this new technology, tips and hacks! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!!
Hi. I watch you a lot. You explain so well. I have 1 question. When you did this water slide, you said you did 2 coats of the glitter epoxy beforehand. Then after the water slide, you don’t have to epoxy again? If you don’t, once it gets wet from hand washing, it won’t come off at any time? Thank you in advance
Very good. I am about to start my first project and you answered the questions I had very well. One other question...am I able to apply a name decal on top of a full coverage floral water slide decal?
What else can I use instead of epoxy? I don’t have anything to spin the tumbler and I’m not sure if that matters or if I can use epoxy and not have it drip some other way
@@CourtneysCustoms I have been using Rust-Oleum sealer and my waterslide still rips big time. I'm going to try it your way, hopefully I can do it better the way you did. I'm new at this and doing a cup for my husband's boss.
This makes me want to run and try it. Do you need to prep any cup with anything before adding the waterslide? For example you did glitter in the cup but if I’m just adding to a tumbler with out glitter?
It’s so fun lol. And no just make sure your tumbler is smooth so if it’s just spray painted that’s fine, but if you have a glittered tumbler just make sure it’s epoxied until smooth before adding the decal
Great video with useful info. When you cut out the image, you said that you could use the rest of the water slide paper for another decal. How do you get your printer to print a partial sheet of water slide paper?
Paint the cup white and dry. Then apply mod podge and sprinkle white glitter over entire cup. Wait to dry about 10 minutes then spray with rustoleum clear sealant and dry. Then add a coat of epoxy
I honestly couldn’t tell you exactly how much I used, I work on roughly 10 tumblers at a time so I mix up quite a bit for all of them lol. Yes you need to epoxy until smooth before adding decals😊
I just started glittering tumblers and apply vinyl. I want to start applying water slide to tumblers instead. When purchasing a file as a svg, like from Etsy, do you just size and send to print?
@@CourtneysCustoms I’m going to jump in and order the water slide paper! Can’t wait to try this!! I’ve watched other tutorials but yours made me decide to try. THANK YOU! ☺️
I love anything Epson. The printer I’m using is so old I don’t even think it’s made anymore lol at least I can’t find it, but it’s an Epson expression home 330
Hello! 😃 I'm a new subscriber to your channel and also new to tumblers...so I watched your hocus pocus video and made a gold and white ombre tumbler, I have clear water slide paper but I went ahead and sealed it a couple of times and then sprayed it with white paint, I shouldn't have done that right? 🤔 Since the paper is clear it would've shown up on the white and gold tumbler without me having sprayed the white spray paint? So basically my question is do I have to reprint and start over 🤦♀️
If the waterslide is just going over the white part no u don’t have to paint it white. Only paint it white if it’s going over a dark cup. I would go ahead and print out another one , just seal it and apply it !! Hope that helps💜
I tried water slide i dont know if it’s the actual water slide or my printer i dont know but even when I seal it the ink cracks and even slides down the mug 😣
Hi. Just subscribed to your channel! I'm new at this. Besides epoxy, is there anything else you'd recommend sealing the tumbler with after I apply the waterslide?
Great tutorial! Only bad thing is your volume cuts in and out making it hard to hear. I still learned and loved how you explained everything. Thank you....
Hi Courtney, thanks for your video - that was great! After you apply the decal on, do you still see the outline of the edges that were cut from the scissors, or is there a way of making it look seamless like a sublimation print on a coffee mug? Thanks so much!
@@duaneleewo9068 good morning !! I use KS Resin and absolutely love it !! You can check out there website here bit.ly/3mfiiLD And no mod podge unfortunately cannot be used as a substitute
The audio is awful, it cuts in and out and there are parts where you are not able to heard. Also this video is extremely digitized, we can’t see any of the details on the cups you are showing us,...you need to turn the quality up on whatever camera you are recording on.
@@CourtneysCustoms awesome, thank you! If there is any way you could do this video again when you have more time that would be awesome. From what I can hear it sounds like you are giving good information but I just can’t hear/see everything well enough to do what you’re doing.
