I met The Grandmother of the Lakota Tribe(Black spider woman) many years ago here in Adelaide, South Australia. Such a privilege! Wonderful person. A memorable gathering. I like this video honouring the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers. Very important. Bless each of them! I didn't know there was a "Water Song". I 'll mention it to the Fountain Group I join in with twice a month in South Australia which links with Glastonbury in England. Many thanks.
We can act. For the planet and against global warming. As people and as part of a humanity sharing ressources with plants and animals. If you want to know more and discover how to take action, join us at The Climate Mobilization: www.theclimatemobilization.org/?
+growitheflow Because spirit no longer goes by skin pigment, and many grandwarriors have purposefully reincarnated in bodies enabling them to transform "empire" from within. We could also ask "why don't all indigenous people live as awesome sacred warriors but pollute themselves, Earth, hurt women, sexually abuse kids?" Well, because by now all people are polluted by ego and at the same time pure spirit comes exploding from within all people. Besides, it is a cultural issue to sing Earth spirit in folk / country melody. Why would traditional Bush Aborigines or Africans do that?
+youthleadermagazine "no longer goes by skin color"??? um, spirit NEVER went by that, that's called white supremacy. And perhaps this lacks the actual voice of the indigenous because they're being excluded and eradicated as whites appropriate their culture to make this washed out art lol!! free My People from Racism!
+youthleadermagazine Brother or Sister: As a person of mixed race and a voice that has felt and experienced both sides of this pain...I know it is easy to dismiss the importance of such a discussion...and I ask you...I urge you, not to. Although it may feel like an attack or an affront on western blood...it is not. This is, in actuality, a potent place of growth and evolution for us all. The indigenous story and wisdom is meant to be shared and absorbed, yes... but it is also meant to be fully understood and embodied (a factor independent of skin color). In fact, understanding the injustice and spiritual genocide that comes hand hand with these cultural heritages is an indispensable part of the initiation into those same traditions. There is much more to the story than just 'these awesome spirit warriors know Truth while indigenous people drink alcohol and abuse each other...' How can we honor their faces too? How can we do justice to their story? Your voice matters...and so does his. We are here to bridge the gaps between our hearts, no? Let us not widen them.
