Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial! You are the first one Ive seen to show the caulking on the seams prior to nailing! Great tip!

Thank you so much for this video! I searched all over the dang internet for a good show of how to prefab and attach exterior corners, and you're the only person I found who showed the process and went into detail.

Awesome most plastic should just stop being made! It looks super crappy on a house. Who wants to live in a plastic house?

Did you rip one board to subtract the width of the other to have the same exposure? thats honestly something I don't want tot do, but wondering how glaringly obvious it will be if I don't.

Maybe an odd question, but do you use the same size boards since one is over lapping the other?
@TheRegenerativeHome

I do but that's a personal style preference choice.

I need help with the OPPOSITE. I have a screened in porch and need to renail the screen so I am trying to remove the boards. How do I do it? I can send you a pic but the board (hardie plank) has hardieplank siding up against it. I GUESS there is caulking between the board and the hardieplankg so should I use a razor and then try to pop the board off going north to south using a claw bar ??

If you wanted longevity, why wouldn't you simply use PVC trim board?

What size nails and nailer are you using?
@TheRegenerativeHome
@TheRegenerativeHome 2 года назад
I don't remember the exact size but they were eight Penny galvanized. And I was using a Hitachi framing nailer with a smooth surface attachment

@@TheRegenerativeHome I have a 16 gauge finish nailer. Should I be ok using that to secure corner boards?
@TheRegenerativeHome
@TheRegenerativeHome 2 года назад
You should be able to use 8 gauge nails in a 16 gauge nailer

Awesome ! Subscribed ! My opinion , would’ve enjoyed even more without the music.

Thank you. I know the audio was pretty rough on that one. I'm going to invest in a lapel mic! If the audio was a lot louder and clear what are the music been okay?
