I’ve been saying the same thing, EVERY SINGLE YEAR at this time we have drought I MEAN EVERY YEAR! and the govt takes no precautions to even alleviate the effects.
I lived in Ethiopia for 5 months. We drilled a well in a village in Eastern Ethiopia, which is semi-arid and it never rains. There was so much water coming out of that well it was unbelievable. Plenty of water in Jamaica.
I check into that. The water table is very deep in most parts of Jamaica making it difficult to tap. Furthermore, the water under there has too much salt. There's actually a report on line from the army Corp of engineers about it from many years ago. Ask any engineer in Jamaica and they will tell you the same thing.

You can believe whatever foolishness you want to believe. The water level in every single river that I know as a child growing up in Jamaica, is now much lower than what it was when I was a child. Go and ask your parents and grandparents. Even the pans in Westmoreland that I knew as a child are now dry. So you can stay with your silly conspiracy theories

All the government needs to do is to build three dams, the size of the Mona dam, in the parishes of St. Thomas, Manchester and Hanover. Also, build purification plants in each parish. Then utilize the rivers, on a controlled tapping of the same and utilize runoffs of rainfalls to aid in supplying the dams. Building of the country's infrastructures with something that is necessary for the people of Jamaica will curtail the water problem facing our nation. Utilize the aid of the Chinese government
No where in Jamaica should you have water shortage while the politicians are giving themselves a 200% salary increase. If the people didn't start making noise and talking out, Mr. Holiness wouldn't do anything about it. WHAT A SHAME 😞,!!

SAUDIA Arabia Cayman islands and many more countries don't have any rivers or natural water sources and yet they do not have water woes. The reason being the government of those countries are working for the people unlike these Jamaican politicians wether it be PNP or JLP are not.

The so call land of wood n wayer is without water. During the rainy season billions of gallons of water runs from rivers out in the sea. Yet a month or two after the rainy season the entire Jamaica is problems to get water. 60 years of incompetence by the JLPNP in managing this critical proble.. such a tiny island and they cant even get water in their pipe even though they have rivers running in their communities. Jamaica shouldn't have water problem there's too much rivers with fresh waters all over the island, there is country without fresh water they have to recycle the sea water on they don't have water problem.
