Love the negative painting and use of the unique Moonglow for this elegant painting! I've been using Moonglow for many years and am constantly finding new uses for it. I think using high quality paper is important for this pigment, although I've had decent results with Canson Montval, Arches CP really allows the full value and idiosyncrasies of this paint to shine. Thanks for sharing your process!

Hi. I have always gravitated to lost edges and misty scenes. I am sometimes criticised for avoiding hard edges - but I prefer lost and found and the mystery of mist and fog. I love what you do. I am formulated several new ideas for my next series of paintings and your creative vibes will definitely spur me on. I am not sure exactly where these will go - but I can almost see it in my minds eye. I think some moonglow sketches may just do the trick. Thank you for your vision and talent.

I will be honest but isn't this color similar to neutral tint? I also love doing painting on monochromatic. This looks really aesthetic ❤❤❤❤
@EmilyOlsonArt
@EmilyOlsonArt 2 года назад
It's quite different from Neutral Tint--I can see how they look similar at first. But Moonglow has that beautiful separation with the three pigments when it's wet.

@@EmilyOlsonArt You'd be opting for budget paints if you lived in Australia on a very very low income. I've just saved up enough after drip feeding a spare account to put in an order at Jackson's UK. Buying from them I save between 30 - 40%. It's not worth buying from Dick Blick or others in the USA, our dollar is to weak and they charge an arm and a leg for postage.
