Liron, your videos are always fantastic. This was so satisfying to watch you fix! How do you keep your paints in good condition? Because, when I look at your palette, I just think the color is going to come out muddy. Aside from the Scarlett color. But it's almost like a mind trick or something that your colors come out practically perfect 😂How do you keep your palette fresh?😂😅 Awww Ruth! Lovely to hear her voice!
@LironYan
@LironYan Год назад
Haha thank you Charnell 😂 I’ll ask Ruth for more cameos! As for the colors, to me the beautiful doesn’t come from cleanliness, but rather from the relations. So as long as I overpower the mix with a specific color, so that it’s at least somewhat dominant, it’ll show enough. And for the very few cases requiring a very clean color (such as the red in the latter example), I do resort eventually to cleaning a small area of the palette (I’m growing up I guess 😂).

@@LironYan it’s got a red belly, blue head, and a green wing. It’s standing on the divider between the top and bottom sections facing to the right. I asked my 18 year old if they could see anything. Until I said that it was a Robin, they didn’t notice. However, they did notice a skinny yellow pepper in the upper left corner of the palette. It’s there from 13:53 to 14:04 when you wipe it clean.

Why don't you use green as complementcolour to the red on the shadowside? Like your brushingskill though, I learn to be more bold now when I paint when looking at your videos.

It's a great question actually! If I'm not mistaken, Da Vinci manufactures both haha. I'd say - give it a try and report back how it went 😁

Interesting. Your dirty palette works really well for landscapes but, yeah, just based on those chillis, maybe botanical artists just need cleaner palettes? Botanicals aren't my my thing, so I don't know for sure. Maybe there are botanicallers out there that can comment? I think it's worth remembering the second law of thermodynamics here too. Entropy always increases. So if you start with a saturated colour you can neutralise it but if you start with an unsaturated colour you're going to struggle to get it back to the saturated version without layering on so much of the saturated colour that it ends up too dark. This is the sort of thinking that you get when scientists turn into artists!

I think one needs to tmake brand name to sell or exhibition the art. Mistakes dosent matter , the artist name makes the ugly mistake art into master piece. Its only in the artists name . I ve seen many artists masterpieces that has only few Chris cross lines .
