Hi there! In today’s vid I wanted to share with you this painting process of a car, for my 100 cars challenge!
I wanted to share it, as it’s a good showcase for the importance of slowing down, working patiently and really thinking about your next decisions.
Then, you can paint as quickly as necessary.
So plan slowly, mix slowly - then paint QUICKLY! 😁
I hope you enjoy this one!

I am feeling the same about trying to find the right balance between impressionism and realism that suits my taste in painting. Lots of good info here that can be applied to other subjects. Thanks Liron for sharing.

Great vid Liron. I laughed when you said at the conclusion that painting cars is not everyone’s cup of tea, and even though I probably fall into that category, I so appreciate that it is yours. For the past 4 years on my husband’s birthday, he has requested (demanded?!) a hand-painted birthday card instead of a store-bought one, and in place of a gift. So each year I “give” him an Aston Martin for his birthday! In addition to this, I have started using a car motif when I paint birthday cards for other male friends. It’s not easy for me, the composition, the drawing, the perspective, and the rendering, but I’m always so happy to do it. So thank you for sharing your cup of tea. I am always eager to watch you paint any subject!

Enjoyed this, lots of helpful info. I’ve started using those small squares of white card with small holes cut into them after watching a Stan Miller video to accurately see various tones in a reference photo and my attempt. I guess after a time you train yourself to see these more accurately. I’ve worked my way through your frustration free watercolour course, probably a bit superficially at first, but I will be watching it again and again until I’ve wrung all the info out of it and it has sunk in! I think it is excellent value for money by the way having attended one or two live classes, there is a lot of enlightening info in it and the great thing about it compared to a live class is that you can watch it again and again. 👍🏻🙂

Thank you so much Alison 😊🙏🏼 I'm so grateful for that! Plus, I also learned about the viewfinder from Stan Miller, or Steve Mitchell - I can't recall but definitely one of them!

This week’s tip is “be patient”? Uh-oh. 😱OK, I’ll try. But I’m not promising anything. 🤣 Seriously, though, I do want to try some more time consuming paintings rather than painting everything alla prima, so this will be very helpful.

Perfect! In that case definitely give this a try 😉 It's actually very fun once you get into it!
