I hope you LOVED the cherry blossom tutorial! Let me know what your favorite part was! And let me know if you painted along with me, I love hearing and knowing people are tapping into their creativity with me. Have a lovely day! xoxo
You. You are my favorite part of this tutorial! Your teaching style has made watercolor so accessible for me AND you crack me up. But seriously, you are a really really really really good teacher. like really really good. don’t stop. And yes, I painted along with you!
Your narration is so helpful! I watch other videos where they just paint and don’t describe what they’re doing all along the way. Your flowers are so delicate and beautiful. Mine don’t come out quite as good, but youAre inspiring me to keep trying!
Surprisingly I loved the leaves. Gives a different vibe than the usual cherry blossom sprigs you see all the time. It's like the flowers are just starting to bloom and they haven't lost their leaves yet 😃😃
Heck ya I followed along. These have truly become my favorite thing ever. I just listened to your story on your podcast and it resonates with me so much, thank you for your inspiration!
Thank you again for a wonderful tutorial!! Can't wait to try it. Ironically I was painting a cherry blossom stem for a thank you card yesterday inspire by watching your 10 easy flowers video. I am excited to try another one with some additional tips.
Thank you so much. I got your book, Everyday Watercolor for my Birthday. I've learned so much from your videos and the book is just gorgeous & packed with great info and tutorials! So much to learn & do fun! Thank you!
@@JennaRaineyChannel Thank you so much! I really, really, LOVE my book! You are so kind to share your talent w/ people like me free of charge. You've made a real difference in the way I look at watercolor! I'm a total novice and you have taught me so much. Blessings!
It's always fun to watch you paint! I'm determined to master cherry blossoms. They're getting better and I think by watching more closely what you are doing I'm probably not using enough water. I thought I was using too much, but I think I've cut back too much. So, my favorite part was seeing how much water you have on your brush. :)
Thats lovely, Jenna! A couple of weeks back you posted a real time video of peony flower on IG, and how you basically drew the petals with a pencil out of a circle and then painted them. Please make a full tutorial on that soon.
Glad you loved this. Thanks for the feedback, I'll try and get that on the to-do list soon! In the mean time, I do have a peony tutorial, if you haven't seen: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qr93pkREHXQ.html
I painted alongside you, about five minutes behind :) Everything was going good until I put a bud on top of the stem (now there's a line going across the bud) Oh well... I can't get my green color right either. My favorite part is when you do the very light color buds and add the bleed effect and the leaves (the color is just gorgeous with the color of the buds) and I like the focal point of the dark red bud. I have that in my piece which turned out and is my fav part of my painting! Thanks for yet another wonderful tutorial!!! xoxo
Yay! I love the cherry blossoms. They were one of my mom's favorites so when I picked up (purchased new) watercolors after more than 30 years one of the first flowers I tried painting were cherry blossoms in her honor. No, they weren't very good but she would have been very pleased with them or at least my effort. Thanks for the tutorials. One on my favorite parts of Saturdays. I think it's time for me to hit Amazon and purchase your book. Edited: I ordered both. Need all the help I can get.
Aw Cathy, thanks so much for sharing the sweet sentiments behind cherry blossoms and thank you SO much for the support. I do hope you LOVE my books! You're such a constant support, I appreciate you Cathy! ❤️
@@JennaRaineyChannel my profile pic is actually my beautiful mama. I put her picture to honor her before she passed away. I wouldn't change it now even if I knew how. Just to let you know.

Sorry long comment. I appreciate you are not afraid to use Black. Usually it’s such a no no but context is so important. Example for birds (ravens etc) or nature’s shadows I won’t, because I like to mix up all the leftover pigments I have in my palette (l am frugal 😛) but it makes so much sense in your tutorials (and books). Jenna do you think you could do a comparison video on different Princeton , synthetic brushes? Heritage, Snap and Aqua Elite. I bought a size 6 aqua elite but it’s a long bristle 6 which I didn’t even know was a thing! And it is narrow and pointy and difficult to work with for your petal tutorials. a shorter 6 with a bigger belly like you use is what I was looking for but alas😔
Thankyou for this tutorial. I loved the variety in the softness of the blossoms. I am new to watercolours but you have given me confidence to have a go. Have you got a tutorial on frangipani flowers and buds. I love those flowers, they remind me of my grandmother. Fiona
Don’t mess with mama 👶🏼 ps. Is it your birthday Jenna, I’ve forgotten the exact day in May -but I’m almost pretty sure it’s your birthday 🎁 (if I’ve missed it, happy belated birthday)
