Hi, another terrific video! My favorite color is orange and my favorite flower is the tiger lilies that spring up randomly on the side of the road, because it reminds my family that school gets out within two weeks of the lilies showing up and it’s time for another fun summer with the family together. Yay! I love this video! I went a little crazy after watching your leaf tutorials the other day-now leaves are EVERYWHERE. Soon floral wreaths will be everywhere, too. One favorite flower is too tricky, but *some* favorites are peonies, geraniums, stephanotis/jasmine, English lavender, and gardenias. And hollyhocks. And echinacea coneflowers. Okay I'll stop.

My favorite flowers are hot pink peonies. I’ll have to give it a try - I think your tips about varying the value and hue will make a big difference. Also, simple thing like having the c curves point back to the center - no wonder mine don’t look quite right. Thanks!

Thank you so much. You are my fav. I love your books and your detailed, tutorials. They compliment each other perfectly. I wouldnt swap one for the other. Your videos help me visualise what you say in the books and the books help me practice (with your video instructions in the back of my mind) I use a mix of M Graham, Mission Gold, Da Vince and a few Princeton and Grumbacher brushes. My personal issue is paper but that I have now learnt is not all my 'fault' LOL.

Jefi- have you tried slowing way down on your strokes? Watching Jenna paint so slowly made me realize I was influenced by all the warp speed tutorials I've been watching. My work has improved a lot since slowing down.

@Jedi playback speed can be slowed quite drastically by tapping the 3 dots in the upper corner and then picking playback speed. That helps with some of the speedy ones.

In fact, I did your floral wreath video & I'm quite proud of it. You have made a huge difference in my results all in less than a week. The biggest difference is in self confidence, so I just had to let you know, I am gratefull from the bottom of my heart...

To draw a sketch for water color, I use the Derwent Watercolour pencil in French Grey. It blends in beautifully and you don't have to worry about pencil lines showing. Probably any light watercolor pencil in a neutral color would work as well.

Again, being a very visual hands on person... this video REALLY helped me grasp the concepts of color theory you shared in your book. I’m taking notes, and everything is just clicking! I’m also realizing, a lot of this just didn’t get the ol brain cogs going because I don’t have the same variety of water colors available to me. I kept trying to make what I had on hand work, which i now understand, it just don’t work that way with color theory. I basically have primary colors in the cotman series with some randoms since I simply liked the colors. Going to slowly build my color library because I’m itching to just paaaint with the flowy wondermentness. My favorite flower to paint are peonies because they can just be rendered and expressed in so many ways. Throw in sunflowers too cause they’re just so happy. Would love some more videos on composition and how to get a piece to flow. You really touched on it in this video, but touch on it maybe differently in terms of a bouquet or floral frame. Thanks so much for making this video. I'm not very artistic, but your presentation/demonstration style made me feel comfortable enough to give this a try. Watching the leaf tutorial beforehand also helped. I was actually able to paint the leaves. :) My favorite flower was the first one you made.

I absolutely LOVED this video!!! I love your loose florals and you really broke it down in a way that was simple and easy to follow along. I struggle a lot with color theory, but you helped me wrap my brain around it. I'll definitely need more practice, but it really opened my eyes to see how often you add colors to create harmony! I have never been able to achieve this before and am soooo thankful that you've shared this with us! Can't wait to follow along on more tuts and would love to see more on painting peonies and on floral composition!

Love! I can watch you paint ALL DAY! The video presentation and music is spot on for this type of tutorial. Plus, you are adorable. :) I will watch all of your videos, have ordered your first book and preordered the second. I try to make time for painting, but so far maybe once every few weeks. My flower garden outdoors takes most of my time, but so looking forward to painting flowers in my garden as they bloom in the Midwest, and practicing your loose flower painting tutorials. My favorite color is crimson-orange, and favorite flowers are zinnias. Please do more tutorials on color theory; it is most helpful to have your take on this. Thank you for sharing your talents!
