Composition in art is basically the way we arrange certain elements to create a desire effect in a drawing or painting. In this video I will give a quick review of some of the most common compositions used in art with an emphases on the "rules of third." I also discuss thumbnail sketches and rough drafts as a way to practice composing. I will then take you through the steps I used to create the composition for this video and will finish with a time-lapsed painting of a beach scene from my references.
