It never fails to amaze me how Graeme and the team consistently find artists who, as well as creating such stunning work, almost always have a life history and character every bit as impressive as their artwork. Don's work is simply stunning and, although it was undoubtedly painted over many years, for some reason it kept reminding me of the 1950s - especially that gorgeous style that British Railways used to use in its advertising posters for holiday seaside resorts. As I was born in the 1953, I still have many early memories of that decade. And Don is also the sort of person that everybody should be lucky enough to have as a neighbour - I can imagine all those chats over the garden wall would last many hours as Don recounted his tales of his life and travels. Thanks to Graeme and the squad for bringing us another great video, a great artist and a great man. Cheers, Brian.

Don't get me wrong, these videos are amazing and I thank you for them, but in this one, you didn't let him explain his actual painting and technique enough... Too many references to other works and not enough emphasis on the one he was painting right there.

Another wonderful film, thank you Graeme. This is my little corner of the world and I'm fortunate enough to own a couple of works of the area (Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham) by a good friend and very talented artist Alan Reed. It's fascinating to watch another master of water, colour and light such as Don McAra laying down his interpretation. Beautiful work.

I believe I've found " my hero"! I shall become eighty years old in a few months, and have been playing with watercolors for the last five years. I say "playing" because I enjoy my time with the paints so much. Your work is inspiring to say the least. As I said, my hero! By the way, I lived in Dunedin, Florida for over twenty years.

These are some of the most beautiful watercolors I have ever seen. marvelous technique, colors, full of life and balance of natural and man made beauty. Very inspirational. I wish my mind could interpret perspective a fifth as well!

TUTORIAL?????????????? WHICH tutorial, if you have done ONE WHOLE MINUTE OF CLOSE-UPS, to be able to understand while the artist was painting, is to say a lie!
