At 75, I've always just tried to copy what I've seen others do, so thinking about trying something on my own is intimidating, but you've helped give me the courage to just put some paint on a brush and give it a go. So thank you!

75 videos, one better than the other...just watched the owl, my favourite ! Is it sold ?🥹 The old man with the monkey ! Fantastic, human painting, animals so nicely - both together make a great combination. You asked if we want more like this ? Yes, please ! And another wish , I miss a cat. I guess You don't like them...two cats pleeease ! 🙏🏻🌟

Thanks for this - it goes to show how a nice, simple scene (from imagination), can not only help us out of a block, but also be so effective!

I think the tree trunk looks more natural when it's blended is because light is reflecting back and forth between the tree and the surrounding vegetation, so the colors really are shared.

I’m new to watercolor, having painted primarily in oils. I only began painting less than 10 years ago when I retired. Watercolors have recently intrigued me, and is a new journey. My only regret is that I didn’t begin earlier in life.

I struggle with knowing when to stop painting. I either don't add enough detail or too much. Ugh! For example: I would not have thought to add the gouache for a final touch. I guess it's just a matter of practice and experience?

What size paper did you use?

It's an eighth of a full sheet, 11inches x 8 inches. I buy full sheets and cut them to different sizes for these demonstrations. It's more economical that way. Hope that helps Doreen.
