We visit Bajos Del Toro, Costa Rica, dubbed the waterfall capital of Costa Rica! Bajos Del Toro is located in the Alajuela province, nestled between Volcan Poas (Parque Nacional Volcán Poás) and Juan Castro Blanco National Park (Parque Nacional Juan Castro Blanco). Bajos Del Toro is just 1.5 hours from San Jose, Costa Rica, and an hour from the town of Alajuela. First we visit Catarata del Toro, claimed to be the most beautiful waterfall in Costa Rica. The falls are 270 feet high. Next, we visit Tesoro Escondido, which features multiple different waterfalls. Bajos Del Toro is located in a cloud forest- so expect rain!
*To ensure a safe trip, we ensured multiple negative COVID-19 tests before traveling to Costa Rica. We also met the country's entry requirements as posted, and always ensured social distancing and mask-wearing around others.
