WATERFALL CREEK RESERVE CAMPSITE - Campsite review
In this campsite review video we look at Waterfall Creek Reserve campsite located along Waterfall Creek Rd, Maroon QLD 4310. It is located at Mt. Barney National Park in the Scenic Rim. It is around an hour and a half from Brisbane.
This campsite doesn't have any facilities or water. Dogs are allowed in the campsite as long as they are leashed. Camp fires are permitted as long as there are no fire restrictions in the area.
There are only 4 camp sites in the park, a day use area, hiking trails and a short 4wd track heading up the hill. This track is around 4kms along private property which means you are not allowed to stop or camp within it. There are two gates that you need to shut close behind you. The track ends at the top of the hill with enough space to turn around. This is a nice short scenic drive up the top and is worth it if you have a four wheel drive.
There is no cellphone signal in the park apart from Telstra but it is unreliable. Bookings can be made by ringing the Scenic Rim regional council on (07) 5540 5111 or from their website. www.scenicrim.qld.gov.au
