When the village instantly accepted him as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, they finally saw who he really is which Naruto already knew. That's why he forgave them with no hard feelings, because he always knew he wasn't a demon and now the whole village sees it. That means he can trust who he is as a person and let go his hatred. That shows what type of man Naruto is, the better one On a side note: This scene reminds of Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror

storm 2 taught naruto how to overcome pain. storm 3 taught him how to overcome hatred. every adventure is a life lesson.
