NAPOLEON: "Where is Grouchy?! I need those men!" An attache with the benefit of hindsight might well have told the Emperor, "Following the route specified in his orders, sire." "Does he not hear my cannon?!" "He does. But, the Marshal also fights the Prussian rearguard." "Rearguard, you say? Where?" "At Wavre, sire." "No, no, no! The fool! Grouchy has let Blucher slip between us." "Sire, Marquis de Grouchy is winning." "Then, his victory will be our defeat."
Sir! The Prussians are here!! The Old Guard has broken! Damn me Uxbridge, if I ever saw 30,000 men run a race before. The whole line will advance! In which direction Your Grace? Why straight ahead to be sure.
Why do you stand there like frightened children? What are you afraid of? You call yourselves soldiers?! Soult, remember you're a general! La Bedoyere, the Prussians are too late. Too late. Wellington is beaten! Don't you understand? Wellington is beaten! Where's your faith? I was in this position at Marengo; I lost the battle at five o'clock, but I won it back again at seven!
“That’s not necessary, that’s not necessary, it’s the Prussians, but as far as you and I are concerned and the army, they’re on the moon, is that understood?”
I think one i love Waterloo but the guinness record for the largest battle ever film goes to the battle of Borodin from war and peace 1968 look for it its 9 hour movie
Napoleon: Prussians... Ney: *Surprised Pikachu face* Napoleon: Thats not necessary thats not necessary its the prussians... But as far as you and I are concerned AND the army, their on the moon. Is that understood? Ney: Yes sire... Napoleon: This Wellington wages war in a new way. He fights sitting on his ass, well we'll gonna have to move him off it. *seconds later* Napoleon: La Haye Sainte, the one who wins the farmhouse wins the battle, go on. Ney: *Hurries off.*
That movie has battle scenes like cinema has not seen before or after (I can only think of the movie Black Cross having so many extras on screen in a battle)
This soundtrack is extremely similar to the German theme of the film casablanca (For those who don't know what film it is, it's where the marsellaise it's sung and a woman cries as she sings it)
