My step-dad used to watermarble my four fingers at the same time so they had similar swirl patterns and my thumb was the "special" nail. He was the best dad I've ever had.
Watching these two Queens Watermarble is a dream come true...I still remember when the old Cristine would say: "Fuck Watermarble" Now, Cristine and Safiya are Watermarble Witches 🤯🤯🤯🧙♀️🧙♀️💅🏻💅🏻❤❤ This was such an amazing stream and I never wanted it to end...thanks to VOD I can watch it forever ❤
About Pantone I've had it explained in class (I study design). Pantone sells expensive ass books (in the thousands I believe) which include color coding. Now it's not really for designers to have the same language. It's more for the client's perspective. Because you know how colours look different on different screens? Like on my phone it may be more of a warmer pink or green or whatever but on my laptop's screen it could be more cool toned. So you can't use that as a visual reference when making a logo or brochure or pamphlet. And here's when Pantone cards become important. Because they give you a visual reference that is true to print. Because when you print you use CYMK color scales (it translates the colour better) there are percentages of each color component. You know X percentage of cyan and X of magenta and so on. The key difference is that screens are adjustable in colour tone and vibrancy of them. But printers take the information given by the utilized colour scale and print accordingly. So when using Pantone cards, the client you work with can pick a colour for their design and know exactly how it'll look like printed. Because if you were to go off of the screen, due to all the variables and settings listed above it may look different. Not only from one device to the other but also in printing. If I wanted my brochure to have a periwinkle background (sticking with the colour of the year theme) if I chose a colour that looked periwinkle on screen it may print way cooler or warmer compared to the screen. But if I had gone off the Pantone card the colour printed would match 100% to the colour on the card aka the chosen colour.
Loved the nail lewks (Sailor Neptune is QUAKING at Saf's nails!) but mostly just loved seeing you both hanging out and having fun! Thanks for sharing that with us.
A meme discussion and subsequent "wait how old is..." rabbithole recently made me realize that even within my truly convoluted melange of interests, I somehow unconsciously ended up preferring mostly creators my age--without knowing their ages (honestly assumed many of them were a decade younger). I was somewhat baffled but "generational interests" makes it so much clearer! Even if they're not talking about anything specifically "our time", jokes and quotes and asides are probably enough to make my "peers" conversation easier to uh..."vibe" with.
@@blackgrlfly not her. Every trip she’s taken after self quarantine has been for content. We’ll see Halloween is coming and probably a witchy collab. 👀
I just love that Cristine made her own polish brand, and somehow managed to enact treason upon herself by formulating a polish that apparently works perfectly for watermarble! Edit: Because we all remember these non-watermabling polishes that would just sink no matter how hard she tried, or dry waaay too fast, or not spread at all.
I'm feeling pretty cheesy tonight, and I just wanted to say I never get to watch these live cuz of work, but I still wanted to say that you both make me very happy, apart and together! I love watching these VODs, they're great to just watch or use as background noise. Thanks to you both for the many hours of laughs, and for having a not-insignificant part in making me the man I am today.
Love you guys bagging on 7 year olds watching the trooms while I'm watching this after working 50+ hours over the last 4 days so exhausted just wanting to feel like I'm hanging with some friends 😂😂 (no shade at all I'm so happy to see you all together again 💜)
I missed the livestream yesterday, but just found the video in time for my weekly nail session on sunday. So I painted my nails along with you 😄 (I'm over brew and one melon followers gradient with polar princess as topper). You got me slowly from wearing nail polish again to bolder colours and specials finishes to trying out my first nailart 🤗
Snake discovery has a scaleless ratcorn snake named scrotum 🤣 his kid friendly name is wrinkles 🤣🤣🤣 I loved this video and I'm super excited to see more videos with saf and Tyler!!
@@stardustfactory8311 depends on the parents I guess 🤷 they just try not to let the actual name slip on camera. But if you've been to the zoo especially while he was still in the enclosure up front any adult looking at him pretty much had the same reaction cause he really really does look like scrotum skin 🤣
@@Rachaelbot same! I'm blessed enough to live only a half hour from the zoo so I've gotten to go pretty frequently, going again next weekend for the enclosure raffles and one year anniversary of their opening!
So when saf said she had never met the cats, I got confused, like how? You’ve been to Canada? But NO! The only RU-vidrs we’re rob and corrine! All of the saflogical collars were in ny and La!
Rural BC also has more people saying “eh” or having the stereotypical accent. Smaller places. There was an article comparing people from The Okanagan (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, etc), and Vancouver with how they pronounce “Vancouver.” Apparently okanagan people say “VanGcouver.” I love in Vancouver but grew up in Kelowna (also rural Shuswap) and i am pretty sure i say “Vangcouver.” Shoppers is great but they are also tied to Doug Ford (like many government donors and lobbyists) and received a lot of public contracts and subsidies during early pdemic. Canada’s politics are super corrupt, but people like to pretend Canada is a sort of socialist utopia. I’m in BC and our NDP government is just as corrupt, in some cases worse, but they are always given a pass because their party name sounds progressive. But that’s unrelated. Canada is a nice place, but not ideal. I recently got a sugar bowl and creamer set from Salvation Army that has ottawa parliament building on it. I use the bowl for my cat’s wet food. It’s so cute.
With the Canadian accents you forgot Nova Scotia lol like Quebec, its a different language (Joking, I live in Alberta and we have a lot of east-coast transplants). As an Ontario transplant myself, I can confirm there are things we say out here that are a lil different. Thanks Safiya for the Calgary shout out (also almost cried when I saw that teal holo, can't wait to buy it )
I finally pulled the trigger and bought some HT. First, I was too broke. Then, when I had the money, I couldn't decide what to get. I finally settled on LLB, OCB, Purple Slushie, Orange Drink and SGT. This stream has inspired me to do a nice HOLOween watermarble. 👀 🖤🧡💜🌈💧💿
@@lestranged Yep. Valspar, Behr, Glidden, Benjamin Moore all have colors of the year and announce them earrlyyyy. Pantone was the first to do it (I think) but they don't announce the next year's color until December/Late November usually.
Ah! So happy to watch you and Safiya be able to stream together and can't wait for your podcast episode. [Also deeeefinately excited from the sneaky peaky of a dark green linear coming 🕵♀️
Parts of the stream music kinda sound like the robot who plays guitar in the game Stray, the one you had to find the sheet music for. Very relaxing 💅🎵🥰 .
Who want so tell simply you can pick up the design with a nail stamper so you can control the placement a little easier 😆 they turned out great though! 🧙♀️ 🪄
This makes me want to watermarble haha. But I play watersports so my nailpolish is always gone in a couple days so feels like a lot of work for little time
