I was wondering the same thing, and plan to find out soon. Looks like it will work, unless the angle of the baskets bars interfere with mold.

No mate not a cross bar. They don’t have an adaption for it. Only a cylinder rack or a flat rack. Hope that helps

How do you remove it on you snap it in place? Is there a trick to it so you don’t break anything?

I think it would mount on rungs. I have a MB Sprinter camper with a ladder. I am going to order a bracket and get back to you. I use to have mine on my VW Van using a hitch mount. Great product
