I have used the original Feiyu Tec gimbal with the Stuntman chest mount while mountain biking with really good results, so I would expect this version to work as well.

the head strip is a bit bouncy, but the chest accesoires is not bad cause mountainbike (downhillers) are using it 24/7, still great review helps alot!

i like that timelapse feature. my feiyutech g4 (non-wearable) definitely does not have that

i have the WGS for the session, it's actually great and you can give it to anybody that has no camera knowledge and you will have superstable shots (that you can use)

Battery life 8 hours?? How? Spec say 2.5 hours. I just received mine and I can get maybe 4 hours on slow time lapse with little need for gears. But active use on board sports or bike is much less. BIG LEARNING: if you turn on gimbal then manually try to re-position gimbal upside down or such...it will turn off and you have to plug power cable in to reset. Takes about 5 minutes. Best to have gimbal set in position and attachment system you want and then power on. ALSO: gimbal does have usb power in port, so you can attach to external power source (car or battery pack handle or external battery pack for example). Wish it hand another port for power out to GoPro but because this gimbal is 360 with not limits a cable to GoPro can get tangled. ALSO: you can mount GoPro upside down or right side up.

So the gimbal is waterproof, but you can't use it near water because it won't accomodate a case over the GoPro. What gimbal do you recommend that works with the GoPro case?

Hello! Would just like to ask if its normal for the camera to flip backwards while on selfie mode? In my understanding, the camera should be facing me regardless if the gimbal is upright or tilted. With my g6, the camera flips back/face the opposite direction when the gimbal is tilted.

Hey Chris, Thanks for the review I found it very informative. One thing I've noticed with a lot of gimbals is the lag time back to straight & level. I want to shoot from a chest or low pole mount on my motor cycle & have seen a lot of mountain bike footage where the horizon doesn't come back to level after a sharp lean & I noticed this momenterally in your footage as well (you said to mention stuff like this) so I'm wondering if you have noticed this & if it has been an issue over time if you have. I expect it has a inverted mode too. At least the WG 1 does that I have. (Good for when u wear it on chest upright for cycling etc)

i actually have a little interest in this Chinese thing, but man, the countryside on the background is simply amazing! Where do you live with such nice surroundings?

Does this gimbal have to perform a "detangling" spin if you rotate too much? I've seen this in other gimbals that advertise 360 degree spin. If you spin around too much, the camera will suddenly do a 360 in that direction to untangle the internal wires going to the other motors. I saw that you were spinning it in circles to test the "lock forwards" mode, so I figured you would have seen that behavior if it does have it.

Does it continue operate when charged? (thinking about an 8 hour timelapse...)

my thought - you should place gopro upside down so the optical axis of the camera stay closer to gimbal pivot point, what do you think?

Hi, nice review! I'm looking forward to buying this gimbal but I have a few doubts. I'd like to use it with my motorbike and skiing, but I'm worried that in the long period the air pressure would ruin the motors. What do you think about the reliability of the product? I also found that sometime happen, during horizontal turns, to loose the horizon: did you notice it too? Or has it been resolved by the company? Thank you very much.

Did you have to fully charge it prior to first use? How long did take to fully charge it? Mine doesn't turn on at all and I'm still waiting for it to be fully charged. Great content btw.

What lens did you use for the main camera? Did you use a picture profile or colour correct/grade? It looked really good and really sharp!!!
