maybe for version 2, they might incorporate a handle in the middle like pixelstick and maybe ability to install patterns etc..

So I just found about these . How is the overall quality compared to say a quasar ? Is the frosting of the lights good ? Seems like you can see the LEDs in the tube at low levels . And also the red seemed more orange at least in this video but could be the way the video was colored. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks for a great video !

much lower quality - diffusion is lousy - and you will be lucky if you get one that charges straight out of the box. These were supposedly design by Lumin8 for Kickstarter but it is just private labeled white gods from China - you can also find identical product under name LUXCEO .Can buy for $77 on AliBaba.

Check out 5:46 and see the pixilation of the LEDs, and it is very hard to dial in an exact color with the cheap generic app they provide.

Yes they do, that's the battery indicator has 4 blue leds. If you have the tubes in shot, you might want to tape them, that's what I did for my last music video.

These are really nice, I'm looking for some tall bright light tubes for my new 360 video booth. These are nice but I know the lighting has to sit back a bit when using for a 360 booth. I'm trying to find a different look from the average lights most people are using. Any suggestions?

Once you're in the TuyaSmart app, click on the + icon in top right corner, you can do "auto scan" or just add the light manually via blootooth by clicking on "lighting" and "light source ble". And also don't forget to press and hold the light tube button to put it into pairing mode. So hold the power button for 3 seconds to put it into blootooth mode, and press and hold for another 3 seconds to put it into pairing mode. Once you select it on your phone, it should be paired.

is the website price wrong?? how can they be only $95?!?! almost all RGB tubes are A LOT more expensive and these are even water proof! what is the catch?

So 95 is the smaller version of this tube. If you select the bigger one, it's around 200. They have 18w max output, so they're not as bright like.. Let's say the Pavotubes at (30w). But the DF tubes run for up to 4 hours, which is really good battery life. The controls are also simplified with 1 button control. So probably the overall design makes them more budget option.
