Looking for mountains without the crowds? Waterton, Alta. is preparing to bounce back this summer 

While many flock to Banff over the summer, the small town of Waterton, located in Waterton Lakes National Park near the U.S. border, says it's hoping visitor numbers this summer will bounce back to pre-pandemic levels. Local businesses have been suffering over the past few years, following the 2017 Kenow wildfire and the COVID-19 pandemic and closure of the Canada-U.S. border.
