Crazy Dave, the character we didn’t know we wanted in smash

Greetings, neighbour! The name's Crazy Dave, but you can just call me Crazy Dave.

I saw someone else comment that he could work like pokemon trainer switching between plants and that's a really cool idea.

Trailer: We see Simon, Steve, Lucina, and Piranha Plant walking through a deep fog. Steve is lighting the area with torches, Simon and Lucina have their weapons at the ready, and Plant... is with them too. Suddenly, the fog clears and the group find themselves in a very spooky graveyard. Before they can do anything, a wicked laugh echoes from behind them. Rising from behind a hill in his flying machine, Dr. Zomboss makes a motion and a noise sounding like a command to attack. Suddenly, a zombie hand bursts out of the ground right in front of Lucina. As she slashes at it, more and more zombies are popping out of the ground around them. Steve tries blocking them off with stone, Simon tries to scare them off with holy water, and Plant is just growling at them. Despite their efforts, the group is surrounded. Zomboss giggles in delight. As one zombie lunges forward at Lucina, who braces for the worst, a fast green projectile comes from below and shoots the zombie's head off, causing it to "die." Lucina looks down and sees a Peashooter looking back at her sweetly. Suddenly, more and more plants are appearing, fighting off the zombies. Everything's a blur of peas, cabbages, Suns, melons, corn kernels, wall-nuts, etc. Suddenly, the camera focuses on a silhouette of someone with a pot on his head. Zomboss looks very scared. The shadowy figure then chucks something at the large horde of zombie, and we see that he just threw a Cherry Bomb, which causes a massive explosion, sending zombies everywhere. Zomboss then orders his zombies to retreat. As the zombies run away (or shuffle away), the group looks at the figure that saved them. As the sun rises behind him and as his plants gather around him, Crazy Dave smiles at them and laughs like the maniac he is. CRAZY DAVE RETURNS TO HIS ROOTS! The trailer then shows his moveset, stage, as well as him interacting with the characters. The trailer ends with Piranha Plants and Chomper mirror each others movements in a goofy way, while the others just watch.
