Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 26 March 2024, we will start today's video with road works in Bloubergstrand in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Waves have damaged the road during spring tide. Then, road works on the R21 roadworks near Irene Mall, Gauteng, rehabilitating two large sinkholes. We will also show the rain outside Kenhardt, South Africa. There was heavy rain and lighting last night over Jeffreys Bay, as seen from Blue Horizon Bay. Check out the impressive art work at Creation in the Hemel & Aarde Valley near Hermanus. We stop for lunch at Dave's Kitchen in Still Bay. Get ready for some intense weather conditions in certain areas of South Africa. Severe thunderstorms are on the horizon, bringing heavy downpours and strong damaging winds. These storms have the potential to cause localised flooding in susceptible areas such as roads, low-lying areas, and bridges. Keep an eye out for the southern parts of the Namakwa in the Northern Cape Province, the central Karoo in the Western Cape Province, and the western parts of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. Expect heavy rainfall in certain areas of the Eastern Cape Province, which may cause flooding in vulnerable settlements, roads, low-lying areas, and bridges.
