Solid tutorial! An alternative to loop a video file instead of the loopOut() expression, is the following method: In your project window, right click on your .mov-"interpret footage"-"main" (or option-cmd-g) On the bottom of the window, you can change the amount of loop times. Just set it to 100 or so, and you have the same result but without expressions and time remapping.
Your videos are so great! Very excited to dive into your past tutorials since discovering your channel last week. Thanks for sharing and putting in the hard work to make these!
I finished the tutorial but i am having single messed up keyframe at frame 25. I am not sure if its an error in the matte or the renders of the origional colorways... But its one frame where everything is transparent except c1 left side triangle like the base of the entire animation. and only 2/3rd of that segment.... hard to explain but an image would show :/ any ideas?
thanks, I think the only difference was that flipping of the pink-purple background as mention at 12:03 so the colors alternate properly. If you see 13:16, notice my scale for layer 5 is at [-100,100]. Great that you pointed this out!
im confused what happens at 10:28 .. you copy.. what from what to what? There is suddenly bunch of copied things you open a scale on one.. im not sure what happend there?
@@NoSleepCreative thank you for the reply! im not getting the same loop as you though. - my circles just start 'dying' around framre 85. so there is no keyframes on the copied layers at all? just scale expression? and the first layers have keyframe at 0 and 24?
@@ariaxua yeah there are no keyframes on the duplicated layers, and only the 1st layer does at the beginning. Not sure about what you mean by "dying" lol. If it helps, you can download the project file and reference what I did: gumroad.com/products/GAQX/
