From acclaimed director Trey Edward Shults, Waves is a heartrending story about the universal capacity for compassion and growth even in the darkest of times. Starring Sterling K. Brown, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Taylor Russell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Alexa Demie, and Lucas Hedges.

I love the fact that there is so much love and trust between Trey and Kelvin, and that they are so open with it. That's a great relationship to have between Director and Actor.

Sounds like Kelvin should be credited as a screen writer since a lot of it was his ideas.

The last response by the mom character was the best example of this movie because life doesn't have to end in a courtroom you still have to love beyond your tragedy

▶️💿📷📹📺🎥📽🎬◀️ I love this movie The Story the actors and definitely love being soundtrack I watch this movie with a group of mixed friends and we also was very shocked about the second half and pad some questions about this transition. But if you think about the movie and its title "Waves", this was brilliant! Life doesn't have to end when things go wrong and the cliche is that we were all expecting the movie to end when the boy want the prison because that's what life teaches us. But in the midst of your pain when you think your at your lowest God is still working and life is not over and all this time I find the quiet sister was the strongest one in the whole family that kept things going and reuniting the family again. It is so unfortunate when things go wrong in your family or to your own personal life but that don't mean that life is over you have to learn and keep moving. I'm glad it shifted towards the sister and showed the family effects of the brother but it's shifted towards her life and show that theres still love.

because the lawyers he talked to, missed it. with money, a suburban family member (regardless of the color of their skin) can be redeemed, especially with manslaughter- i've seen it- money= good creative strategic lawyer

so, i'm like how come kelvin's love interest in his movies are non-black, i.e. luce and waves- it's like the directors or writers want to see a black male half naked body for the purpose of physical misogyny. now i'm thinking , they also had sterling without shirt-
