When you do what you love all the time, eventually you get good enough at it to make money doing it! @@cappel077 I totally agree, its not really helpful without the underlying context that you aren't feeling attacked all the time. Hence why I think people "seem to not give a fuck" in reality is their facade at taking a defensive position in a world looking to pounce on any belief you have. Therefor caring about nothing gives the allusion that you cant have your opinion/ideology smashed because you have no concrete foundation in anything. I think that the type of person who has been grinded down and still believes in some kind of purpose, that this advice is best applicable. Cuz you're definately right about the "Nobody cares about anything" being the problem. But that specifically in my opinion is them not inherently caring about themselves. They have disconnected from any sort of objective self-image or ideological morality. You have to keep that in tact, and think you are worth accomplishing something, else you will likely always be on the defensive, which is what this society breeds. The not give a fuck thing is best when a few other things are true as well. Such as a drive for purpose, empathy for others, compassion, etc. I was watching a Lex Friedman podcast yesterday with Michael Malice and Michael talks at one point about EXACTLY what i'm talking about with the not giving a fuck thing. Gary Vee is someone that really helped me formulate that idea as well. If you see Lex and Michael in Communist outfits for a podcast, watch it. It's like 2 hours +, but damn is it good.
