I love using wax seals. I bought these silicone molds. I use 4 beads with the larger design seal. Its plenty of wax. Also when I ran out of the tea lights that came with my kit, I bought large ones. They work so much better.
Thanks for sharing! I ended up buying larger ones too and so much better than the small one that same with the kit! I’ll try out 4 beads next time I seal with this mold 🤩
I found an electric furnace for wax seals on amazon. It is reasonably priced. It has an on and off switch. I love it. I also have the silicone mold. Love it too❤❤❤
I've been doing this for a long time, but stopped for awhile now I'm breaking them all back out again just beautiful. I bought the silicone mold great idea.
I have actually added wax seals to some journaling pages. It’s a fun effect. You do have to use a pencil board if you are writing on pages that are after that because it causes a hump.
You definitely don't have to fill the whole well - its just a nice guide. But I'm sure they sell other sizes too - this is just the size I found. I typically use 5 beads for my wax seals because that's how many I need to make a full seal with the size of the head. But definitely could make something smaller :)
I agree with you that you require 6 beads. It looks easier than it is to create the seals with uniform wax surrounding the seal rather than the seal image being off centre. There are mini spatulas available for scraping out the wax from the spoons from SHEIN. They are worth purchasing.
I have not done that. I'm not sure how well it would work but also I'm afraid I'd burn myself LOL. But I have poured a little dot of warm wax and placed the premade stamp on it which sort of melts the stamp a little so that it sticks.
Should have thought to use a new tealight for the video but had that one out...definitely takes a long time when the candle gets low...and then goes out LOL
@@JustScribble I love watching these wax seal videos. I miss the good old days of writing letters. I used to seal the back of them with a wax seal. Nowadays sealing wax and the equipment you use is pretty hard to come by.
It’s hard to say because shipping varies depending on where you are but also what you are ordering - because the size and the weight play a part. I didn’t find it much different than shipping from other shops but it’s been a bit since I ordered and I don’t know if prices have changed with the postal increases around the world. But I will say they actually sell a lot of their products thru amazon too which is awesome because you get it quicker that way too.
Not sure what you think is a disaster or why you’ve decided to make such a comment. But I hope you get yourself a cup of coffee and a sweet treat to brighten your day.
It depends a little on the wax you use and a little on the weight of the seal but most of the time you just set it on it and the weight of the seal makes it sink and there no pushing. But with cheaper wax or a lighter seal sometimes you have to lightly push it. You never want to push too hard or you’ll have too thin of a seal and too much extra spilling out around the edges.
