Once you've installed the wax sheets in the frames, here's how to put the frames into the beehive box:
1. **Prepare the Hive Box**: Clean the hive box and ensure it is set up properly with the bottom board in place. This will be either a deep or medium super, depending on the hive type.
2. **Place the Frames in the Box**: Insert the frames with the wax foundation into the hive box. Make sure to evenly space the frames so that the bees have room to build comb between them.
3. **Order of Placement**: Start placing the frames from one side to the other. Push them close together but ensure they are evenly spaced. The typical hive box holds 8 or 10 frames, depending on the design.
4. **Ensure Proper Alignment**: Double-check that the frames are properly aligned and seated within the box so they don't shift or fall over when bees start working on them.
5. **Install the Inner Cover and Outer Cover**: Once the frames are in, place the inner cover on top of the hive, followed by the outer cover to protect the hive from the elements.
6. **Close the Hive**: If your hive box has a telescoping cover, fit it properly over the top. Make sure everything is snug to prevent disturbances.
The bees will then start drawing out the comb on the wax sheets, expanding their colony within the hive.
