the Mine death theme has never sounded better! and while i do enjoy that this is basically the DOS's version of the Mine theme, except tolerable to listen to, the Amiga's version was kind of a bop
As the same with the Mines Death theme. Specially for me, because that let me a lot of trauma for all my life. Don't smell corrosive fumes. I tell you. But with the improvement theme, it is less horrible to me.
Eric Lerma So true! I was alway "Ugh, okay, i can handle it", but always catch me off-guard. True horror was the animated death in mines, when you were torn apart by those plants. THAT was shock!
I like this version the best, simply because it feels so full but not to the point of sacrificing the atmosphere built up by the Amiga version. The experimentation definitely paid off. For me, the order is: 1. MT-32 ver. 2. Amiga ver. 3. DOS ver. (This is legitimately a watered-down version of the MT-32 soundtrack without any of the atmosphere. Saying that you like this version best is sentencing yourself to a beheading by pyramid guard.)
While I prefer Amiga version I must say that MT-32 is not so bad. PC-version was sound/composition-wise not identical with Amiga version, but was more...experimental, more "jazz"-sounding and I think it actually does sound interesting when output through MT-32.
ikr, because in old time everything was different, the Amiga had a better audio card, while DOS computers had horrible, and roland mt32 is an add on audio, TO me, the Normal dos version sounds like NES, Roland Like SNES, and amiga is like gameboy advance
