2/21/19 A preview at The McKittrick Hotel in New York
Hadestown, the new musical by celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, developed with innovative director and Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin. The cast features Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Amber Gray, Eva Noblezada, Patrick Page, Jewelle Blackman, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer Kay Trinidad, Afra Hines, Timothy Hughes, John Krause, Kimberly Marable, Ahmad Simmons, Malcolm Armwood, T. Oliver Reid, Jessie Shelton, and Khaila Wilcoxon. Preview performances for Hadestown begin Friday, March 22 ahead of a Wednesday, April 17 official opening night at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Man, everyone did so amazing-bLESS ANDRÉ FOR POSTING THESE. His Hermes is spectacular as usual, Eva and Reeve at the side were adorable (literally such a perfect Orpheus and Eurydice imo !! ), Amber was just KILLING IT (gosh, I love her so much), and Patrick-!! What can I say, you GOTTA love his Hades. Not to mention I am LIVING for the new Fates !! The whole ensemble just blows me away. I am so ready to see Hadestown take on Broadway 😭❤️

Movie musical adaptation please with all the cast in it, particularly Eva and Reeve as their characters. I can't imagine anyone better than their Orpheus and Euridyce. Lookit those irresistible chemisty! Movie producers, anyone, please???!

@@darylesese that's the original Off-Broadway cast, this cast (in the video) is the official Brodway cast seeing as this is the cast that is going to make their Broadway debut on the 22nd of March. But I do love that cast! I just really want to hear this cast in studio recordings!

As always, the first time I listen to a new version I'm like "??? no, it's different, I don't like it, what happened" and then once I get past that on the second try I'm amazed, astounded, holy crap it's so good, etc. The Broadway Hermes is amaaazing! Hope one day in ten years they'll bring it here in mainland Europe lol :'')

I personally like it. It makes sense for Hermes to sing that. Orpheus’ role has been expanded in other places like all I’ve ever know, I heard that they’ve added to epic ii as well so it’s not like he’s losing a huge amount.
