obyn, if you want to read a paragraph about obyn keep scrolling. so obyn has decent pierce and damage but, he has 0 zip none blimp power, so rounds 50-100 will be impossible for obyn unless you like hyper max him and i meen hyper hyper max like macro villages and over clocks with perma brew if you want to win that
Listening to your story about the first "weird" teacher was really neat. I'm in teacher's college right now and his style and strategies with interesting hooks and reflections/metacognition are exactly what the ministry of education is trying to push towards now. He seems like he was quite ahead of his time in terms of teaching theory
The teachers that indirectly teach you life lessons in addition to their subject (democracy in action can literally change history), are always the best teachers. Not that they can get kids that can memorize facts, but can show them there's more to being a good student than rote memory skills.
@@malkomalkavian As a high schooler, my older teachers generally teach like this. They weren't this lenient but they would get their kids to answer the questions themselves. My physics teacher constantly tried to get us to make guesses and hypothesises about how stuff works and if you were right he told you. But then he wanted you to explain how you got there or what could be a reason for that
I mean, that teacher sounds super fun. He got y'all thinking outside the box and, while it was different, certainly left an impact on you if you're still thinking about him
I'm not sure how many other people feel this way, but I don't mind hearing Lily in the background at all! It makes me smile to hear a pup happily playing in the background
SJB’s question on teachers made me realise how boring my entire school career was. I don’t think I could name a single weird teacher I ever had other than maybe one maths teacher disappearing for like a year without telling anyone.
That Teacher of yours actually taught you all how history works. And how history can change based off of what people want the actual answer to be. That teacher was smart
I’m on the side of open book, open note, even open internet tests. Because those things are a resource: we don’t need to memorize things anymore. Schools should be testing our ability to analyze information, apply logic, and form conclusions. While there are some instances where you should be able to do things by memory, such tests should be the exception rather than the norm.
About the question of the best way to introduce world history, I should say that my 9th grade history teacher started the class with "history of the entire world, i guess" by bill wurtz.
SJB the middle path gluegunner during its forth and fifth tier abilety increases dammage done to the bloons 4th tier +1 and 5th tier +2 or 3 i forgot this is extra helpfull if the main popper is a fast shooter as they get reglued fast
I will say this as a teacher: I approve strongly of this teacher's approach. In terms of tests, I find it less important to see the right answer than to see the reasoning. When I was in school, I had a teacher (also a world history teacher, interestingly. Cool guy, very smart, actually engaged with his students, super opinionated and involved in socio politics but did not once let it bleed into lessons) who gave an exam on music in 18th and 19th century Europe. Which is basically my thing, has been since I've been 10. I got a 90 on that test because two questions were marked wrong. One was fair enough, but the other I was absolutely certain I had the right answer on; it was something about the innovations of Beethoven vs. Mozart. So I went to the library and looked up stuff in about 5 different books and came back in the next day with those books and tried to argue my point. He didn't actually end up agreeing with me, and it was a somewhat ambiguous question, but he took my test, crossed out that 90, and put a 105 instead, explaining that he was impressed that I had actually gone and done research on the subject. That made a huge impression on me, that I could be rewarded for doing my own work, so I try to do that for my own students as well. If someone shows me that they know how to think about the questions I give them, I consider that a much bigger success than them just memorizing a bunch of facts. I would like my students to know how to think, not what to think. I do open book tests as well, but I do put very difficult questions on there; the point of them is to see if students know how to use a glossary, how to cross-reference, etc. Not if they can memorize the number of valence electrons.
I had a physics teach who loved Tennessee. On every quiz, test, and exam, the answer to question #10 was always C. I had a government teacher who would do these long boring PowerPoints on the different branches of government. He knew how boring it was. So he’s insert slides with random things like a legit shark attack picture. Just imagine: “and again, this is how a law is passed. *next slide* oh god, look at that guy…his shoulder is inside the jaws of a shark. Talk about a rough day. *next slide* now let’s look at the president and his role….” His humor was dryer than the Sahara.
What if all the students collectly agreed before the test to mark everything as "A" and then democracy that in as the answer. 100s for everyone! On a bloons related note - does perma brew not allow churchill to hit DDTs with his pewpew?
Something weird I noticed was that at the beginning of round 49, churchill shot a cannon to the start of the map with 0 bloons in range and actually popped some of the greens. Just something I saw in the video. Like so SJB can see this detail please.
My old biology teacher said that when he dies he wants his body put into a rocket ship and sent into the sun. Honestly I wouldn’t mind going out like that too
My school was set up weirdly too and I couldn’t make it to my locker then to the next class in time for most of my classes so I carried every book I needed for each class every day with me. Only went to my locker when I arrived to school and left. That’s the only way I could avoid being late and like you I am a fast walker.
i think the teacher in your story is smart. i don't think I'm right. i mean, I'm in middle school and I am a drop out. well, I will go back but, I think the teacher is teaching u and the class the right way. i think u learned or heard this but the school system hasn't changes and it is horrible. using your own ideas and mind can open up to more ideas and questions your brain wants answers. like youtube video titles and thumbnails but your brain. that can cause your brain to actually learn and think instead of remembering something in a textbook and forgetting it. if u read this, just thank your teacher! love your vids and exited for more!
I had a teacher who on a biology test wrote Which one of these is wrong regarding how cells move: Whips Tiny little legs Lashes Small wheels propelled by a diesel engine Those are all translated from my language so they might not make sense but you get the point
I think this would have been a lot easier if you played on a decent intermediate map, and got a nuclear sub, and then spent most of your money on Churchill levels.
If we're talking about crazy teachers, I had a crazy cool substitute teacher named Mr. Wagner. He was awesome. He would help teachers, and at the end of the class, he would have a raffle for the art he would draw. He made creatures called Germashnickles. They were awesome, and I have a folder full of them. I miss seeing him.
Lol everytime RU-vidrs say omg Im sorry for the noise, there is never any noise. I was the same when was editing my vids. Any noise I was like oh crap that's horrible but I knew nobody else would hear it. Usually.
Happy valentines to all of you Hope you all have a great day. ❤️ And the weirdest good teacher was my RE teacher he used to give us coffees as rewards (we were in year 8/9) he also used to make us memorise the comic book version of the Bible, he also used to play boardgames with people if they were bored in class ,he expected a lot from his students but he was a sweetman. The bad weird teacher was probably my old science teacher he got arrested for Cp on his work computer and he was known to follow girls from school and take pictures of them on his phone genuine weirdo creep.
When it comes to teachers, I only have sour memories As someone with autism, they didn't understand, every time I had a problem with someone, I was punished, when I tried to take care of it myself, I was put down, and the worst part, everyone thought it was funny to watch me suffer That being said, I was not a perfect saint I had maybe one teacher that understood how I felt, and knew how to help
ive had a teacher whom we would bribe with a bag of potato chips so he doesnt grade us that day, he was there for 1 year and then got suspended for multiple reasons. he also said in February that we dont have anything more to work on and just left (school is up to June). so we had no classes of his till the end. we all loved the guy a lot especially cause of no classes 🤣
wow, very interesting. I'm guessing you still had to go to his class and maybe do busy work or something though? Or you could just chat amongst yourselves until finals?
@@Sweetdude64 we didnt even have to attend, we mostly played football or just went to get coffee/eat edit: that teacher teached both highscool and on faculty, and was arrested for bribery and was on news here his class was Pathology and he was a Gynaecologist, he had a tendency to watch female assets during class and actually stare and was reported for that (we were all 16/17 back then). also you could barely understand what he said, he wore glasses but used magnyfing glass aswell and straight up put his head into the book just so he can read. he often talked with us while we were discussing betting on games and obviously did it himself. and many other things, he also once told us all the answers for the test 5 minutes before it and told us to write all down and tgen we did the test. funny thing in that was that out of us 30 one guy managed to fuck it up and get a B hahh
So I'm from Germany so I can't 100% relate to you're highshool story but I go to one of the biggest shools in Germany and I'm a real quick walker too so I share you're pain and it's so anoying. It's not like I get punished when I'm late ore something becouse the teachers are always late but I know it's realy anoying.
My teacher got banned off of campus after going crazy after our class, he would regularly have breakdowns. Some justified and others just out of hand. He screamed at one of our friends for giggling proceeding to go on a tangent that he’s a hard working man and that everything in the class revolves around him saying “ITS ALL ME ITS ALL ME” and he ended up cussing out a kid and i guess he gone crazy enough to where he was completely banned from even stepping a certain distance from the schoolZ”.
Fun fact: Churchill can reach max level naturally on some beginner maps by starting with a free dart/glue and a sub and rushing Churchill and Energizer before buying anything else
I loved a teacher of our religion class. With her, we had to found our own sect to opress other people and to gain lots of money from that. The goal was to show us how bad sects are.
I think you would have found this challenge easier on cubism. I was able to do it on mobile, so you probably would have been able to pass with flying colors on that map. I did have to buy a first strike and hit the bad with it once tho
The craziest teacher I've had was a really bad one. A history teacher at a Brazil's High School equivalent (Ensino Médio), on top of being, in his words, a radical leftist outside of school, he used to talk dirty to literally everyone, though girls would be primary targets. While I was attending, it wasn't anything too atrocious, not that I heard of. A year after I left, just before Covid hit us, there was a massive protest by students outside of school, calling him out and another teacher of being p**os, I guess the stuff he was saying escalated. And that sucked, History is by far my favorite subject. The thing that annoyed me the most was the increasing commie rhetoric he was mixing into subjects, I always suspected him of covertly indoctrinating us, which is super no bueno. Something a bit dumb I was doing is doing bad in his class on purpose, as a sort of saying "fuck you" to him, he would call me out in class about it, and I just would not care. During and after the Covid phase, I've not heard of any news about it and, to be honest, I really don't wanna know.
:O! I guess Churchill had a gut feeling, or started to wise up where the bloons were coming from. Or maybe he just has a twitchy trigger finger. Or maybe SJB forgot to turn his mods off xd Either way, it was definitely a premature evisceration. Thank you, thank you... I'll be here all night!
Well i think your teacher was trying more to get you used to the world, because right doesnt matter when the majority of people want wrong, and i just think he was less focused on teaching history and more on learning the mistakes we made and just preparing you overall
this is actually a fallacy, so yes it does matter. Everyone agreeing on the objectively wrong answer doesn't change it to right. It just means everybody is wrong
9:20 - speaking of getting annoyed by silly things, for me, the thing that kills videos/channels for me faster than anything else is when I can hear the youtuber inhale between every single sentence. "Words words words, [INHALE], words words words words words, [INHALE]" You sometimes do it (obviously, we need oxygen to speak xP ) but it's rare and not noticeable. Some people, you can hear every. Single. Inhale.
