Hey Scott make sure you always check your zeroing on your scope and read up the encyclopedia, it helps and tells you everything you need to know. Love your videos man I hope you make more of this.

As a real hunter, this game is absolutely phenomenal. Might be a bit tedious and slow paced for some people, but it is so relaxing and such a joy to play.

BTW pulling the trigger will cause the case inside your rifle to launch a projectile towards where you aim.. with a chance of wounding and or killing an animal.

That Mule Deer disease was a real thing for a while. I remember hearing about it through some local hunters

It still is a big concern. Wasting disease is extremely contagious, but most cases came from farms where the deer escaped into the wild and spread it.

I don’t have a lot of time either, but it can be nice to just relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery, learning about the different animal behaviors tactics used to hunt them. It’s slow, but the way the animals act in this game is super realistic and immersive. I thought the AI was bad when I was hunting pheasants but it turns out they are super dumb in real life as well lmao.

@@soulofcinder2007 Genuinely curious if your experience is different from what I am seeing here? Multiple shot opportunities in a matter of a couple hundred meters. At one point multiple shot opportunities on the same deer without it even noticing it was being shot at. Hopping for several yards when fired at. I came here hoping to see that this game might have some more of the realism that was present in games of yore. But it looks like that is not the case.

Spot the prey, sneak closer slowly, get as close as you can, mind the wind direction.

When you see them under 400 you need to swing around and get within 200 or less. Stay low and slow. Use the hills to your advantage

In hunting, you don't shoot from where you spot the target. The challenge is to spot them and then get yourself in a position where you have a high probability of hitting the animal. You have to move quietly, use obstacles to conceal yourself and get as close as you can without alerting and then take the shot. When you were trying to hit that Deer from the tower, it would have been best to leave the tower and move behind that clump of bush that was right in front of the deer and then shoot.

I don't hunt so I can't argue that.. but I just don't see the point in getting a nice high position and then leaving it just to kill the animal if you could from the beginning spot you were at.

I like this game. Just a few suggestions it be neat for a 7mm catridge like the new 7 prc for marketing and performance. A environment for pronghorn and add wintry weather conditions for the current locations.

Don't forget .300 PRC and 6.5 PRC. I'd like to also see ARs in .300 blackout, .450 bushmaster and .458 socom. I love the thought of hunting with AR-15s... at closer ranges of course. Nothing like a little extra challenge to get the blood pumping.😂

Watch Flinter & Scarecrow on here to get advice. Need to be patient and mark where you last saw the animal rtun to when its been shot. You should then be able to follow the blood trail to the body. Ensure your zeroing is right, on this vid the animal was 300 and you were set for 500 so shot over it. Also pay attention to your scent and the wind. Its a very slow paced game.

If it's realistic enough the wind will blow your scent twords the deer. Maybe watch wind direction and move accordingly. Does going prone influence scope sway?

when you hit something hold x to mark area so you can find blood trail and you can track it from there otherwise you lose track ... honestly it just takes too long to play this i tryed really but after following tracks for 40 minutes for a whitetail dear i give up.

Another game that fails to implement scopes properly - as You zoom in your periperial sight should not be zooming in togather with a sight in the scope. Call of the Wild has the same issue.
