I'm a DJ, and I had to warm up the floor for Nick Warren in 2023 in Ecuador and I gave him the dance floor with this song "The Gift." Nick hugged me and almost started to cry. Emotional moment. ❤
I was definitely still on the dance floor as this song was usually played as the last song of the night (actually early morning) in the mid-90’s at the world famous nightclub Firestone in Orlando Florida. Loved being in my 20’s in Orlando, FL. The Clubs, DJ’s & music was amazing!❤
He was so rude - british comedy classic. To Piers Brosnan on his latest movie "I gotta tell ya, I was glued to my seat. Otherwise I'd have left." Ballsy !
I was born in a very small town in Cambodia but I was gifted with being born with synesthesia and I was born with perfect auditory recall. I tried to listen to all Western music and came across Kimball Collins and this song. It's the most beautiful song I ever heard and it inspired me to learn English. Thank you Way out West, I have to thank God and you for giving me the drive to learn English and eventually become successful and living in the USA.
Man i loved this song... brings back so many great memories...i wish for those day back so often. I am currently working on a remix of this song, find me on facebook like me and watch for my post when this track drop in late Jan or early Feb. DJ Sound Sorcerer
@@danlewis3185 TOO FUNNY.... true facts!!!!!!! i just listened to Mountain by Damien Lazarus mix (aka the REAL sound sorcerer) and it blows - it made me search for the original.
I was on holiday in Ibiza when this song was released the charts are were a week behind in UK when we got back the next week I were at my childminders and I was singing this and all of a sudden came on the radio I remember this Top Of The Pops episode this presenter was not funny.
Yes missed his child's first birthday to FAKE playing drums on top of the pops because it might be good for work. Think we were paid £50 for that one or may be less.
@@guestandsons If he had really wanted to do it - it might have been worth doing it. But he didn't, it was just networking which he put over our child's first birthday. No entertainment is worth more than a person as covid has shown. Take care and keep safe.
His drumming is actually spot on - most drummers on TOTP playing to the backing track are all over the place, but his professionalism and jazz knowhow shines thru to get the fast drum n bass rhythm of this track on the money (well, worth more than £50 for sure).
@@SJ-tk4ri Can't take away the fact he's a good drummer. As my colleague said about him - he's good at hitting things. Clare's law. All those double shifts and working 7 days a week I did as an NHS nurse paid off for him so he could 'practice'. Just such a shame how he is on stage wasn't reflected off stage - Don't think anyone will be celebrating him on this father's day. I say this as someone who loved and supported him for 25 years and with sadness that despite the fame he has now, there's more to life than talent and celebrity. I won't reply to anything else now. My anger that our children found out about his marriage to the woman he brought into our family home and lived with us/befriended me, was discovered online months after the event, says it all. Another Yoko? How does a father do that to his children? No bitterness, we all move on, but I really don't like our children being hurt. Keep safe, Mrs D.
