Finally a DIY pouf with texture. Will go to Tuesday Morning and Home Goods and Ross for small boho rugs. Will attach these to a 5 gallon bucket instead of silkier fabrics others choose to use.
Omg.. this is like the rugs made from that rope and cut old sheets ribbons, old clothes cut up and then braid and use a sewing machine, go round in circles as well.. It will make it thicker lines and nit use as much money or material...I love this idea.. I would not have even thought of anything like this..
Jessica. Maybe I missed it, but why did you make the circle that size? Just because of the size of the pillowcase fabric? Also, any problems with the mop rope coming undone from the hot glue? Thanks
Yes, I made it as big as I could with the fabric I had to mimic the size of the wayfair pouf. The rope stays on very well with the hot glue, but you of course cannot wash it, just spot clean. Thanks for watching!
At 1:50 of the video I tell you that you will need 2 pillowcases and I reference it several times throughout the video as well. I didn’t buy them, they were just two that I had around the house but you could purchase some as well.
You could probably buy a couple of those cheap muslin ones or just pick up some at a thrift store. I have an old blue sheet that got stained with bleach, so I’ll probably dig it out from wherever I stashed it and use that.
