Katherine Barrell and Dominique Provost-Chalkley take to the stage to talk everything from lesbians to unicorns. Just them, you, and a packed audience in our main stage panel!
At 16:35 Kat : You get bored, you do, you get bored. Then turn to Dom. Kat : Not of Youuu Dom : You are gonna see a lot of Kat this season. Fandom : Cheering
nicole perez she was talking about being bored by just acting as a love interest instead of being her own character. But with Nicole she has her own story line as well as being Waverly’s girlfriend.
I've seen this panel like 4 times and that always makes me feel warm inside. Like Kat looks at her with "oohhhh youuuuu... whyy you complement me in front of all this people" 😂
I love how all these straight actors who play queer characters get emotional about it and are so deeply invested in the characters. It means so much to me. 😭
Kat has a boyfriend, sounds weird lol. I just see everything through gay colored glasses and dunno they must be great actors cuz I would have sworn otherwise.
19:00 When Kat was talking about how difficult it can be for kids who don't have their own community, own truth, and how she was already crying while talking about it made sense now that she came out as bisexual. :') Dom came out as queer, and Kat as bisexual. We stan strong, and authentic queens!
Deviouspinkies DIVA magazine. 2019. She talks about being attracted to both men and women but she married a man and that’s on that. She wishes we didn’t have to label our love she said.
Love this bit which starts 'round 16:30. Kat: ...you do get worried about just being the love interest and it's fun, but after awhile you think like, I mean, oh my gosh- Dom: [mutters] You get bored. Kat: -you get bored. Dom: [nods and mutters] With me. Kat: -you do, you get bored. [Turns to Dom] Not with you.
Ohhhh ok I thought I heard Dom say that she herself had a Wife. My eyes popped out with Excitement and Happiness for her at the same time. 😂😂 Thank you! 👋😃
Kat's answer to what the responsibility of playing the LGBT roles means to them is one of the most unique answers. I never heard someone talk about changing history or being a part of this change in history. They're great
Kat's answer at 19.15 I don't think I could leave this video without commenting how touched I am for her genuineness. And Dom is such a lovely personality and truly is appreciative of playing Waverly. Also, kudos to the whole ClexaCon team who arranged the whole event and filmed and edited and streamed it for all of us to watch and relish it. Thank you! 😘🌹
Essvari Al Totally agree. Growing up in an isolated environment wasn't easy. And discovering these two when I did was a long time coming. I still get teary-eyed over them and so appreciate that they realize just how hard it was. The compassion and understanding they have for all in this community is truly special.
I just love how Kat always emphasize the positivity she receives over negativity she receives. It was not the first time to say that and most actors remember the single if not few hate comments they got online. She was mostly bashed at times in social media but she just say her hate comments were nothing compared to the positivity she receives. I love her humble grateful heart. PROTECT DOMKAT AT ALL COST.
@@jollyfighter7319people who dont know how to draw the line between reality and character they play. Before, she used to post a lot of her & Ray's photo or her husband would tagged her and you will see hate comments. Some would even go to the extent of bashing Ray. Not sure were she was coming from when she said this in one of the early panels but it could be from this
@@tequillamockingbird4796 This is embarrassing for these people to disrespect that way. SOOO childish and obsessive. I think people now got some grip...
I absolutely love this moderator (sorry her name has skipped my mind) but she controls the room and the panel so well. She’s entertaining, engaging and hilarious. - Dom & Kat are always the sweetest, they truly love what they do. This panel was all around phenomenal!
Please allow for us viewers to write closed captions, it's hard for me to understand some parts since I'm not a native English speaker but I can't even fathom how hard it must be for hard of hearing fans! This would be so good, especially since it could later be translated to other languages and be available to all!
Alex Erson Yes! Or at least include the ASL signer there in the video to help at least some people out. However closed captions are better in my opinion.
I barely can understand what they are talking about not only because i'm not a english speaker but there isn't good sound so yeah its hard for me too 😓😓
The way Kat listens to Dom speak (and everyone else but we see her interact with Dom the most) is so amazing and pure. You can tell they have SO much respect for each other. Beautiful.
16:35 awww so sweet😍 Kat: You get bored! You do! You get bored! Dom: *points at herself and whisper* me Kat: Not of youuuu Awww that just melts my heart❤️
Did you click on the time I put in the comment at all? Or did you read the comment at all? She did an Aussie accent when talking to the Australian chick.
Here I am, 3:30 am and 2 tennis games I have to play in 5 hours....I should sleep but Clexacon decided to release this amazing video... but hey no shame, it's really worth it! :-D
47:22 idea for next: ClexaCon everyone brings used but in good condition clothes , which than can be purchased in a pop up secondhand shop and the profit gets donated!
I’m quite a new Earper and Wayhaught shipper, but to see this, to see how invested these two beautiful ladies are in their characters, in the community. Their support for all of the art and fanfics that people write, it really is something to see, its truly a precious thing for a show to have such amazing actors who are very emotionally attached to their characters. :))
What Kat said about the older audience drawn into this show - I love it, all of it but especially Waves & Nicole - really hit home. There Was no community for us. I grew up in the 60s & 70s not having a clue about who I really was or how to live it. There was no one to talk to, no positive film or literature. Heck, I only found the film & novel Carol this year! And now, now to see what my younger self could never have lived, portrayed openly and more and more often joyfully on TV and the internet has been full of delight mixed with regret. While there is still so much work to be done, bold shows like Wynonna, Lost Girl (hey Kevin (saves the world lol)), Carmilla (hey Elle) have been marvellous at breaking down walls...it's hard to express just how amazing that is and how it has created space for young women and queer folk all over the freakin' world for Pete's sake! You don't know how fortunate you are and I'm so glad for you. You younger guys are seeing history made. Hell: you're making it! Don't ever stop! Thank you.
Amazing, amazing, amazing! I didn't know we would get a Wayhaught only panel. I loved both, of course, but this one made me so darn happy! Thank you Clexacon!!!!!
thank you so much for the subtitles/closed caption!!!! videos with closed caption is so underrated. This helps international and disabled Earpers so much thank you!
Very touching and so grateful that they understand that this forum hasn't always been available and these characters and their representation is appreciated across generations.
As an older lesbian, let me say its an exciting time. My niece is a lesbian and we speak frequently about the way things used to be compared to the present. We've come a long way, baby! Embrace diversity, love one another.
Melinda S Simpson I could not agree more. Being an “older” lesbian myself there was nothing when I was younger to help in this life journey. This show especially shows the younger audience it’s ok to be different! Just love one another! 💛
I cant help but have a smile plastered to my face whenever I see Dom! They're both amazing talking about their characters and answering the fans questions! And by the way, best moderator ever :)
i love how they communicate to their fans this way instead of thinking theyre dont have the 'right' or whatever to represent the lgbt community. i love them so much
I could listen to Dom all day I feel like she has amazing stories. N she's good at telling them. Such a wonderful human being... Jeeuz the world is a better place because of these two.
My fave Moderator ever! Dana thank you!!! Lost Girl "brunch", Wayhaught, Hollstein & Danvers! All brilliant panels! That fan asking the question about the character Jeremy was clever because I love back story. I love character development! I wonder if its linked to Zoe Palmer or Anna Silk guest starring on Wynonna Earp... I'm so excited!!!
The way dom and kat always comfort each other gives me life, I want to have someone like that, their bond is just amazing. They care so much about each other and if anything were to happen to one of them omg it would be so sad they are each other’s half’s
Disha Ravishankar oh god. i am sorry i meant to write i have seen you commenting on various videos. it is always good to see a fellow countrywoman in a lgbt discussion.😍
I love these two. You can see that they are not only beautiful on the outside but, beautiful souls on the inside. And they get it. They are loving, caring, emphatic women.
These two are absolutely incredible and inspirational, I've watched many of their panels and the advice they give their fans and just telling us about their lives and how much they struggle just like everyone else is really inspirational, because it shows that just because they are well known and actors doesn't mean they don't go through the same things we do. ❤
Omg 27:50 when Dom Mam finished with her story of visiting India with Varun Sir, aaaahhhh I've so much respect for her now, as an Indian I love my people being known in other parts of the world and Varun Sir really made me so happy when I got to know that Jeremy is played by a brown person an Indian 💖😭, I've so much respect for Dom Mam now cause she praised India and also addressed the struggle over here for being queer and coming out and also not much of the movies and shows are made on it as this country people are not yet open to it, even me my friends most of em we have never had a conversation about lgbtq its like a taboo or smtng, but I'm glad I got educated on this topic this important part of society and I am just thankful ❤️
Really tho. I understand Kat's answer of being afraid of just being a love interest, no matter how fun it is. And to think her character progressed to be more important, hell even being one of key characters is amazing. 💯
The way Kate looks at Dom it's like she's REALLY in love with her and I adore that like a lot I can only hope to find someone that can make me look at them with literal hear eyes
so happy if there a relationship is sucess,i'm with my love one until today we're growing up together as best friend now on we're growing up our two kids.taking our both parents and thank lord our parent support us so much even in my country it still unaccepted..
Just want to put it out there... I'm a big fan of wynonna earp since 2016... Wayhaught all the way.... I love this two actresses... Dom and kat love both of you... Loving fan from Philippines 🌈🇵🇭🏳️🌈
What I like is that they actually said the word "wayhaught" on an episode of Wynonna Earp. It was interesting because it's the first time I've heard someone say a word that fans create based on their favorite TV shows. I usually find gay/lesbian couples on TV shows a bit contrived, like the script writers are trying to find an easy way to spice up the show. However, for some reason, their relationship feels more convincing than for example, Audrey and Emma from the show "Scream." And don't deny it, we all drooled when Waverly did that cheerleader routine in front of Nicole! Without her undies! :D
