Perfect blend of her grandfathers legacy into her fathers new legacy. She did a good version from her own perspective during that same time period her father at this song. Almost seems like she’s singing the chorus straight to her daddy.

I believe this girl feels Waylon. In my opinion, she FEELS it more than her daddy. This girl gives me hope. THE Legacy still continues through her. This blood she can not run from. She can never run from it. cannot get away from it. She has a legacy. And it is way harder to step up to that And this girl.. Can truly pick up slack in the reins.

What separates Bri from the rest, is her being born right into the “Country Blues Rap” that was being produced by her Dad, and everything she’s learned about her grandpa. Like the tonal quality of your voice as well as the rhythmic-rap of the lyrics. Like all great country music, whether it be outlaw (like ol’ Waylon), new age,Roadhouse,etc. your song has a story to tell. All the great country songs tell a story about life. This song does too

She's not his actual grand daughter by blood, she's Jessi Colter's granddaughter, but because they married and became one big family it's always put as Waylon's granddaughter like Jessi Colter's name doesn't matter. I'm it saying anything negative about them becoming one family, but I think Jessi Colter deserves more recognition than she gets.
