I was 9 years old back then I remember my dad and I watched the whole demolition from his 2nd floor window on 12th & Woodland

I spent that 6 weeks making sure this crew was well supplied with gases to cut the steel beams to help weaken the building's. They were a friendly crew who loved blowing stuff up. They were kept extremely busy back in those days.

That place was a shit pit. We lived on the 8th floor and wouldn't even think about the abandoned floors above. Smh
