10 years ago; the technology for these kind of procedures was still in it's initial stages, you can't compare with today's modern techniques. plus, he probably kept most of the transplanted hair: it was most likely the remaining hairs that fell off.
@@Luke-mm4fy No you won't lmfao. It's physically impossible. They take some of your DHT resistant hair from the back of your head, and plant it in the front.
@@happymolecule8894 the hair from the donor area aren't really resistant but they haven't been exposed to DHT as much as DHT in that area is low compared to the front/top area. Also he wasn't talking about the transplanted hairs but the non transplanted hairs, these still will fall out behind the transplanted ones.
bad lighting? lol, he was using hair fibres in all the other pics, heaps of guys with hair transplants still eed fibres to make their hair look decent. A lot of the post HT pics and vids you see are not accurate cos the guys are using fibres
His donor was bad prior his HT, it's the doctor's fault that he even made it He is blonde, light hair is a disadvantage His hair was thin from the first moment, even as young man (16 years old) I could name a few He can't be compared to any other person, especially not to those with thick black hair
People are way too obsessed with their own looks because other people go out of their way to point out any perceived flaw. It's sad that so many people feel like something as stupid as losing your hair is enough to shatter their self image.
Rooney looks a lot better with a beard, so he could shave his hair and he would suit it. If the shaved head looks thin then he could get the mico-pigment tattoo for a stronger hairline.
@@saellenx3528 yes but rooney would still have hair over it too. When you buzz your hair down to zero you still have hair, so the tattoo just makes the thin area look a bit thicker.
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Rooneys hair looks to thinn and i doubt it would work out. Also his hair is of lighter color like any velus hairs. As for bald people doing it, you would have to shave your head every day for it to look natural, because as soon as normal hair come out off your horseshoe it will look fake. Hair is 3 dimensional, tatto is not. There is also a thing of tatto losing color after many years, then what would you do? What will you do once you are old man and your horseshoe turns grey and you have black dots up on the scalp? People doing these seriously need to think what exactly are they doing.
@@saellenx3528 those are all valid points but someone with rooneys money could afford to have the tattoo redone when it begins to fade. In terms of colouring it could still be dyed darker so the dots of hairs he has would match the tattoo. He was into dying his beard not long ago so he probably has some tresemme dye left over
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere well that is true, but you would still have to get it removed once your horseshoe turns grey. It would just look weird and what was even point in doing it then?
when you a world famous athlete getting paid millions every year you don't want to do anything to jepordise it. even if the chances of side effects are very slim.
Hey matt, could you have a look at the case of wesley sneijder? Dutch footballer who had a transplant but keeps a buzzcut and looks great. I have done the same myself and it's a great case to look into because it's rare to see guys with buzzcuts after transplants Thanks!!
He keeps a buzz cut because the hair is so thin, if it grows out even to a number 2 you can clearly see that he's balding. It's the same with Channing Tatum. Still, it's better than being slick bald. Sneijder used to grow it out and use hair fibres but it looked so fake.
He's not ugly but very very plain looking. But he has ok head shape and great beard. Also he just has overall boyish but masculine look so he can totally rock the bald bearded look.
It has been 21 weeks since my dhi hair transplant. So far so good over 5 months. I still have 6 months to a year to see the full results and density. Actually looking back Wayne Rooney was the 1st person to get me involved with the procedure after all the research.
@@mygameplayworld thank you. I feel good, my body feels fairly normal, nothing to worry about, just give it some time, and your hair will grow. Avoid smoking, drinking for a while. I believe marijuana was fine after a month. I had my 2nd procedure after a year as well for a little more density.
Pretty sure Finasteride is banned in professional sports, reason being is that it is a “masking agent” for performance-enhancing steroids. its presence in urine makes it hard to detect banned substances, which would be a reason why Wayne Rooney carried on balding!!
Matt can we have a video about how to style your hairline after hair transplant… covering different types of hair types such as curly rough and silky hair types
Matt please what do you think honestly about the tricopigmentation? Could be useful for the people who have been damaged by bad transplants of the hairs, to cover all the posterior scars of the removed bulbs, and they no longer have areas of collection for further transplants? Thanks in advance for an eventual answer.
"10 years after his hair transplant What happened!?" - Simple. They're not a guaranteed fix. You can get one and be ok for a few years and then end up right back at square one with thinning and loss.
Definitely going to get a hair system instead of a HT. Just seems too traumatic, don’t like taking meds, and after watching this video I realise that it doesn’t even last! Good video though, thanks
You will look ridiculous with a syrup. Kids will point and laugh. They will call Mr No Hair. Women find wigs awful. Just glue your ass-hairs onto your shiny head. It will look better than a syrup of fig.
Been using a hair system for over a year. Couldn't have made a better decision regarding my hair. It's something I don't even care about now. No meds, no fibers, nothing. And never observed any glue leak onto my forehead 😂😂😂 damn so many myths out there
lots of transplant guys are using fibres as well, a lot of the post HT vids and pics you see are not an accurate representation of how their hair actually looks
I did hair transplant to lower my hair line and it happened same for me after the first year the transplanted area slightly becomes thinner it's been 5 years what do you think about that I kind sure of that not becuase of dht I saw a video for a sergeant is saying that some grafts might die and will not be survived later what do think about that
All hair transplants are a waste of time. I've rarely seen one that holds up under any type of close inspection or sunlight. What's the point in having your head cut open, wasting all that money, just to continue taking medications and using cosmetic products to give the illusion of a full head of hair? Shave it all off and if it bothers people so much, just get one of those hair system wigs. They look amazing without having to risk your health with surgery and medications.
Unfortunately the majority of the HT industry is a scam. The doctors will never tell you the potential long term effects. And yes, the doctors want you to get on a lifetime of HT’s, medicine, etc. Because they obviously make more money.
Hi, Matt I just want to ask you one issue. Or make a suggestion. Will you make a video about your daily hair care routine (what you do each day for support your natural hair growth, like fin/dut getting or monoxidil, detmaroller, etc.)? Or maybe you already have such video?
It doesn’t matter what he does really! He is famous and rich from the world’s most popular game where he played at the absolute elite level. But for average salaried men it is not worth it to have even the best hair transplant based on this evidence.
Hair transppant is just moving your existing hair around you bumbaclart. It doesnmr matter if you pay 10 billion for it. If you hair is thinning, it will continue to thin! Nothing will svae you except Dutasteride. (Finasteride is not good enough for most people) and that comes with rather brutal side effects
Obviously transplanted hair can be lost as well, if we follow the same patterns. Loosing our HAIR is Definitely related to us Not being HERE. I mean not being in breath, aware of your life force breath, but instead breathing life into your mind machine of obsessive, at the core, fearful thinking. Yes your Hair shows if your are still Here as life as in your youth or if you’ve gone to the “dark side” of obsessive thinking. Grumpy old, permanent brow frowning, judgemental, inflexible-not like being Hair/Here. Constantly in thoughts of the past or future instead of being present. Warping our view of our reality, loosing our keys, making things seem worse than reality is. Better learn to do daily introspective self forgiveness writing on your obsessive thoughts and speak them outloud. To break the patterns and remove them from your body’s water resonances and so stop the adulthood rise of the mind machine, addiction. Our real selves is the body, not the mind. Yet we become the reality warping mind. Also Crows feet often showing our stressful thoughts. It’s our Desteni. Perhaps one day, we will be able to/learn how to heal each other’s body’s with 2 or more people touching and voicing. Like in the days of Merlin or Jedi Star Wars. When the wars are over and equality and support for all life is in balance and real godly love for all as one. Take care.
Just had my first one done and completely put off with the medication. Sometimes taking these meds that has so many side effects its just not worth the risk to your health.
He may have had an autoimmune disease attacking his hair follicles all along. A hair transplant won't last with that condition. Unless the doctor did a biopsy, Wayne and the doctor wouldn't help. I have LPFF (look it up) after having a full head of hair into my late 50's. After a bout of Covid my hair started falling out. A year and a half later and five doctors later, fortunately a transplant doctor could tell my hair wasn't falling out in a natural fashion. Thankfully he did three biopsies and determined it was a disease under the Lupus umbrella. Had he done the surgery, all the follicles would've fallen out and my hair loss would've continued. I'm on meds now to stop the disease inflammation.
They claim huge advancements have been made, but not that I can see. I'll be interested when they have the tech to give a Norwood 7 a full head of hair, without all this silly maintenance and medication.
Hey Matt great videos as always man! I do watch your videos from beginning yo end because you are far from arrogant when speaking. I wish you could publish a video on medical habituation of Finasteride on NW5 and beyond cases in the very long term (15+ years). I noticed that this is a topic many in the hair loss community tend to avoid.
@@letsgethair the medical habituation of Finasteride. As in how long it's gonna take for someone to keep a certain hair loss stability before the system no longer responds to the drug as it got so used to it so one has to increase the dosage to keep it working.
Hi Matt. I'm trying to join your topical dut discord and filled out the survey several days ago, but I have not received an email with the link. Please take a look as I am very interested in joining the discussion
Very clear what happened, without eben haven't seen the vid - he is just not Taking finisterid which is the dumbest thing you can do. 2 things you have to do: 1st; refill your hair 2nd: prevent them from falling out again - livelong. If you don't do the 2nd you did only the half of the necessary and their are falling out again. Simply logic.
@@maalikserebryakov Well, Mr i dont know what I'm talking about - it was banned for 4 years from 2005 to Januar 1st 2009, when the world Doping organization Lifted the Ban for it. Wayne did his 1st transplant 2011. So just shut up.
In 2024 his hair is still thinning very bad. It's very noticeable under studio lights when he does presenting. Unfortunately I think his hair loss is far too aggressive or maybe he's just not taking any finasteride or Minoxodill since he started his first treatment.
At a hair transplant you take the hair follicle from a safe area that dosen't affected by DHT, so it's not necessary to take finasteride from the rest of your life!
It is necessary unfortunately, because if u don't, you'll probably have all your transplanted hair intact (the donor hair that is mostly no affected by DHT), but all the other DHT affected areas of hair will continue to thin and you'll be left with and island of transplanted hair, but will have lost the hair around that. Look up on Google, hair transplant no finasteride results
If we are looking at a hair transplant results without Finasteride 10,20+ years later, there will definitely be some degree of transplanted hair miniaturization as well. Unfortunately.
@@letsgethair Matt my uncle had a hair transplant 20 years ago AND and that hair is still there without thinning and without taking finasteride. this case isnt a rule. Do not misinform because you take finasteride.
Just go one finasteride as soon as you notice thinning and it will help maintain what you have for a long time. Minoxidil is annoying to apply and hair transplants are too much of a hassle and you will need more than one throughout your life.
Bro, you acting like finisteride is the safest thing in the world, it carries serious side effects. As a footballer, I think it would have definitely effected Roonies performance if he took finisteride.
@@luisbustamante5479im on dutasteride. zero bad effects. My acne cleared up too and in convinced ifs dutasteride’s work. Unlike finasterude, dutasteride slows down facial sebum production and makes your pores smaller. Dutasteride is the best thing that happened to me. LITERALLT SOLVED BALDING AND ACNE for me
What about mid 20s and pretty stable hair condition? Is the chance to keep it better then. I‘m about to turn 25 and my hair status has been the same since I was 19, but back then my corners went higher.
It doesn't exist really, every treatment available involves maintenance and limitations of some kind, with varying results. If they can refine hair cloning and make it reasonably affordable that effectively would be a cure, as it would allow unlimited donor supply- you would be able to name the amount of grafts you want. I wouldn't expect it any time soon as long as they are still making billions on half-assed jobs that take you from bald to severely balding.
I’ve just recently had a hair transplant where Rooney had his done (Harley Street Hair Clinic) I’m 12 days post op had FUE 1846 grafts from hair line to mid scalp. It’s my second hair transplant I had my first one 6 years ago to restore my hairline (FUE 200 grafts)
I was awake during the whole procedure. Dr Vida did all the extractions and incisions. The implanting Dr Vida did along with the help of two technicians who took turns to help dr Vida
6:09 I don't understand your confidence in finasteride. I'm using 2,5g finasteride with 0,5 dutasteride (basically overdosing) for more than a year and my hair doesn't stop thinning and receding
Then you need a topical Anit androgen like cb or RU. And if that doesn't work then you have something else going on. Wouldn't blame it on finasteride being inefficient
@@brokenbutterfly3178 if you have been medically diagnosed with low iron then yes potentially - iron is key for hair. You don't necessarily need a pill , just have more iron rich foods. But finasteride absolutely works for those whose hair thins due to DHT
His hair loss was very aggressive for 25. His donor was very weak, he was not a candidate. It should be a lesson for anyone under the age of 30 thinking of getting a HT… he was a slave to fibres as soon as he started using them after his first ht.. he is now dipping at the back , it’s going to look awful in the next 10 years .. yes he quite obviously stopped taking finasteride aswell, which didn’t help at all
Yes it was extremely unethical of the doctor who operated on him to operate on a 25 year old with such agressive hair loss. It was never going to work out well in the long run.
If the follicles are harvested from the "permanent" zone on the back of your head, the follicle will retain it's DHT-resistant characteristics when transplanted to the front. You rarely see grandpa's with no hair on the sides and back of their head, even though they went to a nordwood 6-7 at their early 20s. Which means either the hair is extremely resilient against DHT or DHT does not attack those area's at all. But please do take fin if you have native hair you went to keep.
@@Top3Unveiled in some cases even the permanent zone for some isn't as strong. Which is why doctors advise patients to get on fineateride six months before a hair transplant to strengthen the hair first.
Yes you can . Smash 5 Finasteride pills in a cup with a spoon , add 20 ml distilled water and transfer to a spray bottle. Spray on your hair/scalp 3 times per day. You can also add minoxidil to the mixture .
Hi Matt. I am a little bit confused to be honest. From the photos it looks like that his transplanted hair were thinning.. Do you think this is the case or they look thinner because the native hair started to thin?
I’m feel like hair transplants - and probably more importantly the drugs they take to improve growth - ruins footballers careers. Rooney was done at 28, Fabregas was never the same, and where the hell is Shaquiri these days?
After a year on finasterid i got small kidney stones then i had tó stop taking it. Then i tried minoxidl and i got heart issues like very low blood pressure so, i had to stop. My problem is not that bad i started thinning at 16 and i never had a totally bald spot on My head its Just thin. A hairtransplant and a good smp helped me a lot. I am 33 years old now.
I go to the clinic where rooney got this procedure (I mean, not the exact same place but the same brand) and word is, the guy isn't the most discipline with his medicines.
Dude literally...i had aggressive hairloss and hopped on Dutasteride 5mg...which sucked because it fucked up my hairline and i didn't notice any improvement.. Was about to bald it, when i stopped Dutasteride and got on finasteride 1mg... The results were amazing, got really good regrowth and stop the hairloss.
@@jaspergabriels8933 For me, I had no sexual side effects, but I did have a raging headache like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I also felt weird as hell and just not well. I couldn’t function. The side effects are very individual so you may none. I’m just not that lucky.
he has a light+blonde+thin hair in general and he isn't young anyway + He was bald from the temples before due to Genetics.. so this is actually more than good for him to have a hairline like that. instead of bald/recede.
What if I’m 36, and was a NW6, I’m avoiding fin for 2.5 years cos wife is uncomfortable with me being on fin while trying for babies. Will that be an issue?
I saw some Spanish doctors on youtube doing work I never saw before. Unless I could find a surgeon of that quality, i am not sure i would do it as other results I have seen seem mediocre. The problem is that these doctors are so booked out.
Number 1 finastride can cause major issues number 2 im afraid if you are prone to losing hair its no point getting transplants while your losing hair wait till you have lost majority of losing hair ,yes its a pain but much better this way
It is evident that he didn't get many grafts transplanted. I think that he didn't get more than 2.5K grafts transplanted totally, so that's why his hair still looks thin.
He probaly didnt take finasteride, total waste of time getting a transplant unless you commit to meds, seriously don't waste your time getting one unless your willing to use DHT blockers for life
@@LITMOVIESCENES Honestly it's hard to say. It would think so. No hairloss at all, at times it feels like it's improving, but at other times it feels the same. No real side effects. That's exactly what mine looked like after the tenth year post surgery when I got my FUE in the mid 90's finasteride just was coming out and right away sides about sexual disfunction was known about it so I didn't even want to entertain the idea . minoxidil I used only as the new tufts we're shedding til the new growth came in .I didn't respond well to rogaine back than .now wow how times changed ,and all the new ideas how to use the two most effective treatments available to us .what a godsend
What if he actually took the medication and his hair still continued to go despite him being on it , it does happen to an percentage of people they'll take the medication and their hair will still continue miniaturize and eventually entirely fall out and they'll pretty much progress their balding as if they're not taking any hair meds at all . Now I'm not saying that's what necessarily what happened with him but just saying .
When you look at Rooney at 16 his hair looked receded and thin so was always looking predestined to lose his hair and the donor area that has been used has thinned as it would of done in its original area of the scalp. If a guy has very slow receding into his late thirties/early forties they are going to have a far better lasting result than Rooney.
beware of a high dosage of finasteride daily, it could have major side effects, always use when ordered by a professional and hopefully it is a low dosage.
but he also smokes cigarettes. and that doesn't really go hand in hand with healthy hair growth. it also looks dull and drowsy. and that really has to do with cigarettes. especially if you have a predisposition to baldness
