Wayne as a player you was unbelievable.....i really hope you see this post tho. If your going to make it as a manager be ruthless as you was as a player.....
As a Birmingham fan l really hope he has learned from his disasters at mu club your a great bunch of fans l enjoyed the atmosphere when we played you so hopefully he does better for you but really doubt he will his tactics and team selection are woeful but good luck for the season and hopefully we can play you next season KRO
“Wayne, what made you take the Plymouth job”…..eeerm after my spell at Birmingham, literally nobody with an ounce of common sense wanted me so I didn’t have any other offers.
He was set up to fail at Birmingham ffs. They were sat in 5th place and sacked John Eustace. I guarantee you that the decision to sack Eustace and bring in Rooney purely because of his name left a sour taste in the mouths of not only the players, but the fans. They may not have played for Rooney, it was a recipe for disaster. I’m happy to have him here at Argyle. 💚
@@JayJope 😆. Set up to fail was he? Ok,let’s see how you feel in 6 months. He is shite, end of. He was shite in the states, shite for us and the only reason he got any plaudits at derby was because of Rosenior, and that has been proven since. Ofcourse u wanna be positive,as did we,but don’t disregard his shortcomings with us when you don’t know what you’re talking about.
@@JayJope "Birmingham were in 5th place" it's like everyone forgets the volatility of the championship because it's Rooney, the championship table is not even worth taking seriously until January. Teams shoot up and down that table...at the time Birmingham were in 5th, PNE were 3rd and finished 10th, Sunderland were 4th and finished 16th. QPR were in 22nd and finished the season on the same points tally as Sunderland. Let's also ignore that Birmingham had been narrowly avoiding relegation for several years, if anyone thinks John Eustace could have carried that team til the end of the season to achieve playoffs they're deluded. That Birmingham side got relegated because they lacked heart, they didn't show any all season until it was too late.
He was not set up to fail, as you even said, they were in 5th! By all accounts it was a good group of players doing well under the previous manager… that is the opposite of being set up for failure
I hear that the Plymouth pie shops are expecting a huge upsurge in trade, especially when they start making pies with Rooney's face printed on the pastry.
He wrecked Birmingham City. He didn't do much in the US league and now he's about to wreck Plymouth. Lock up your grannies Plymouth, Rooney is in town.
The roar of Plymouth has pulled me in ,Birmingham was my girlfriend Plymouth is going to be my wife -Europe within 5 years champs league and Wembley finals I think it is achievable -I’m here and I’m here now !
This is the first time he’s had a pre season with a club so maybe he can train them and instil his playing style into the players now, rather trying to do it mid-December. Remember, it’s not his fault Birmingham got rid of Eustace
Go on wazza, no doubts what so ever hell do fine, we escaped relegation on the last day of the season lol is it possible to do any worse, people just want to put everyone down, go on wazza green army 😮;)
