Wayno's the rare New Yorker, in hip hop media, that always shows love to other regions. Big props for mentioning that Dom Kennedy and C-Murder have classic albums. Far as Drake, he has no definitive classic hip hop album in his catalogue. "Take Care" and NWTS arent remembered or discussed in the same way as Doggystyle, Illmatic, GKMC, The Purple Tape, Supreme Clientele, Like Water For Chocolate etc. There's levels to this hip hop sh##. Having a few big singles on an album amidst mid, and repetitive r&b/rap hybrid music doesn't = "classic."

I personally dont think Take care is a classic but Im not mad @ the take. Nothing was the same is Drake’s best body of work.

Dom Kennedy's best album was from the Westside with love 2. Part 3 was TRASH is only like 3 good songs on part 3. Dom Kennedy is nice one of my personal favorites top 10 for sure. People will always say Jay z, Tupac, ice cube but those are the same answers everyone says. Dom Kennedy is one of MY favorite, top 10 for sure Drake doesn't have classics he has hit albums. There's a difference. There's a reason why good kid maad city is still on the billboard cus that's a REAL classic. Meaning to this day people still go back to listen to it from front to back. Who goes back to thank me later? 😂 So many songs on that is forgettable (no pun) and so many songs are forgettable on each of his albums! A classic is one people go back to and know EVERY SONG on it word for word. Tupac all eyes on me is a classic.

Classic is subjective meaning unique to the listener sometimes it's a universal opinion sometimes it's not because the album Wayno said are classics i don't agree with all of them

That's what I'm saying. Hits yes classic no. I bet people can't name all the songs on that album rn without looking it up... 😂 Good kid maad city I can name 5 off the top of my head that WERENT on the radio or were singles. I think classics are those u can listen to from front to back no matter when and remember all the songs and lyrics on it. Tupac all eyes on me, Dom Kennedy from the Westside with love 2, Eminem show, the Carter 3.get rich or die tryin, and classics are songs u can perform rn and people will go crazy. When drake performs songs from take care their reaction is "meh it's a old song". People will say "well that's being nostalgic doesn't mean it's a classic" here's where that argument is invalid. I wasnt born in the 70s but yet I know pink floyd, the doors Metallica and a few of their songs even tho Ive never been a rock fan... 😂 Or a nirvana fan yet I recognize some songs... How many people do u see walking around with thank me later clothes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
