Thanks for the review. You showing the Quality components of this products sold me, now I just have to save up for one! I have bought other items, survival knives etc., that the components were absolute junk so i've been reluctant to by anything, especially on line. Be Prepared, been living by that motto since 1960 when I was a Cub Scout.....
I love my Minimalist! I added all the Wazoo add-on's , plus screw in eyelets for a fishing pole, split shots wrapped in foil, a produce water bag, wrapped on with Gorilla tape, and a small straw sealed with calcium based pool shock.
COOL!!!!! Indeed, add a good knife and a stainless steel bottle and one might just be able to get by, unless like myself, where living in a desert the concept of fishing isn't a top idea. But still good to have just in case. And I really like the fact that you didn't edit out the destroyed straw part. You probably saved someone from the same error. I saw on their website that they sell that little compass as a stand alone item as well. Good stuff! Thanks Bryan.
Charles Larson To me man I am glad he did too, this ain't a be prepared item to me. This is a last ditch I hope I live item and to be honest I can think of 10 things well 20 things I'd rather have than it. I'm down with local business and all but...
Jerry Morris I grows on you. I just like knowing I can put it on my wrist and not have to think about it but I'll have some handy items to go along with my knife just in case.
Hey Brian, you said thank for watching the adds. I was just wondering does it help even if we hit skip on the adds, or does it only help you if we watch them completely? Because if it helps you more I'll stop skipping.
swamp fox I honestly don't know. Google does not make it easy to find that information. It makes sense to me that advertisers would want people to watch their ads so you would think the payments would be weighted that way. I appreciate you're caring enough to ask.
I've never looked twice at paracord survival bracelets because they're obviously junk. This one is really impressive!! $90 is a chunk of change though. Thanks, Brian.
beauxtx1959 Yep, it's not cheap. In either price or quality. I look at it it this way: this is a hand crafted product that will last for a very long time. (I have a "regular" paracord bracelet one of my sons made me that I've worn for a few years now and it is still absolutely fine). Plus, it;s made right here in the USA, which I happen to like. The tough think for a lot of folks is that you buy something like this hoping to never use it. It's kind of like insurance, except you just pay for it once and it can actually help you out of a bad situation instead of just compensating you later if you make it.
only one question comes to mind when I look at those paracord bracelet. If you open it, how do you put it back together? I think this thing is one time use.
All this for just $90 US plus shipping and handling. I know space can be at a premium, but I don't know if I'd place that kind of price on the space. The idea of a paracord bracelet with useful stuff packed into it is very attractive, but the price as is is a few times higher than I'd expect.
+Thalanox I don't know of anything else quite like it, especially with the high-quality content they use. I honestly doubt if you could make it for much less money using the same quality components
Checking out the site, I see: $11 - Adventure Core Tube (the goodies inside) $5 - Buckle with firestarter and whistle $2.50 - Ranger bands (10-pack of the small size) $15 - Compass / Mirror $7 - Surgical tubing $5 - First aid tider pack (5 unit pack) $5(??) - The paracord itself. The same components to make one of those bracelets, if bought piecemeal and if the end user is willing to weave their own bracelet, comes to closer to around $50, with a few assumptions on how much paracord is needed to make the bracelet weave. It also assumes that the end user is willing to learn how to weave their own bracelet from one of the guides online. I'd be willing to ignore the price of the paracord since, I'm assuming if someone is willing to buy a specialty bracelet, they already have some loose paracord at home. Hmm... Looking at this section of the site is pretty nifty. It brings the price of things down by a lot, especially if I'm more choosy with what I want. Still, assuming some weaving skill on the part of the user, the literal same product can be assembled for about half the price. I wonder how that'd compare to ikea furniture...
el mejor brazalete de supervivencia sin duda.compre el mismo del VÍDEO . AVENTURA.muy práctico y completo.90 dólares.ya saben lo recomiendo. para los que como yo nos gusta la cacería.
Heah Brian I just made up a jingle for that company that makes those survival bracelets, how this "UP the Wazoo without a Paddle", see if they'll pay me a royalty for that, heh heh heh.
You know, I have worked with my hands along the years, in construction and in machine shops, and have learned not to wear rings, that can get caught on something and possible pull a finger off. I do carry Para Cord in the field, but would never run the risk of injury by having all that cordage attached to my wrist. Carry survival gear another way...
Garen Kinoguhyt Not sure how that would work in a bracelet. It's a little stiffer than regular paracord, and a lot more expensive. Would probably add $20 to the cost of this. It might be worth it but everyone has their own opinion about price vs value.
Survival On Purpose Anytime! By the way...I sent an email to Wazoo letting them know I watched your review and told them they picked the right man for the job. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your channel.
M. Myrick Not sure exact;y what you mean. I actually try not to mention prices on the video because the videos stay live indefinitely and the prices probably won't stay the same. I figure folks can check and see for themselves. Same for the "value" issue. I just do my best to provide as comprehensive and clear evaluation as I am able and everyone can decide for themselves if the value is worth the price. Everyone has different standards and budgets. Although I have had a few items that I wound up debating a few folks about the "price vs value" issue. The Lightning Strike Firestarter video was one that stands out in my mind because I still think it is an excellent value for what it is, and i put my money where my mouth is.
But Bryan you was in a hurry... i mean man if you are in a no kidding survival situation... However, If THAT is what you call being prepared, that's a bad Idea. I done been lost in the woods with nothing more than a Boy Scout Knife and a Bic Lighter... Nobody came looking for me. I mean I made it back to camp. This isn't a Survival item anymore than an 80's Rambo knife. Lots of Great Ideas BUT....If you are in a Survival situation, might not work out. Not that most people will ever be in one. This ain't being prepared man. I'm surprised you did this video. I gave you a thumbs up anyways despite I didn't feel the product had your full endorsement.
Jake Riethmeier I mean sorry man, COULD like Les Stroud or Dave Canterbury survive outta that, you bet... I couldn't. Heck I could make it a hair but this would be a backup product only. But if you don't practice with it and practice Survival On Purpose.... it might as well be a Skynrd CD. But then again i am in thae Camp (of one or 2) that would rather this Channel was called Scouting On Purpose. JMO Take us hiking.. heck I ain't too far away... Maybe i could go hiking with y'all.
Jake Riethmeier I actually give this one a pretty good endorsement Jake.. I do agree with you that it's not going to be enough to call "being prepared", but I think it can be a viable component of a "Be Prepared" system. I feel the same way about the Altoid tin size pocket survival kits, and some of them are pretty good to have. I actually like the fact that this one is a bracelet. Let's face it, if most folks aren't wearing their pack-day pack or otherwise- for whatever reason, they might not have that handy little pocket survival kit on them. It will probably be in one of the pockets on the pack. Hopefully they will have a decent knife on their belt and maybe even a water bottle of some kind (you know I am a stainless guy). At least with this bracelet they have some seriously useful stuff in a very convenient carry option that you pretty much strap on and forget. I think of it as kind of like a supplemental insurance policy. By the way, speaking of water bottles, I have another piece of gear from Wazoo coming up for review soon. I think it is pretty cool.
Right, exactly... But if you just strap this sucker on and forget about it, it's as useful as a pimple on your behind. I mean you HAVE to know how to use this stuff. It's a good idea. but well. Coghlans sells a survival kit in a can for what 10 bucks? not USA made but is it 8 times better? I have an order in for a Yooper Jim Altoids tin kit, for only about 395 bucks I am covered for anything and it fits in my back pocket. ;-) Still like my all time favorite Survival video.
Best Survival Video ever made IMO I wish I could thumbs up it like 10 times. I mean guys up there.. Dude most of them hunt and fish to go to the grocery store. They have jobs to keep the lights on but they could make it without it. It ain't even Survival to them... Heck even in my part of Michigan I knew and KNOW people that cut wood heat with it and attempt to catch enough fish, grow enough veggies and shoot enough deer to minimize their grocery bill. Umm none of them are actually survivalists, but they could survive. I know on my videos I talk with alittle twang I picked it up over the years... I wanna boycott Amazon And Walmart right now. So I may not sneak in through the SOP store and buy something.... I have had enough. You won't sell a Confederate battle flag.... I won't buy from you signed a Yankee.
@@DanielKezaryou can get some on amazon for $8 with 18 items. Im sure most of it isn't actually usable but it is probably made by the same company before Wazoo adds there $80 stamp to it.
@@davinci3259 i mean yeah the 8 dollar ones dont work and arent great paracord either. i wouldnt spend more than 30 on one, though, and for 30 bucks you can get one with really decent name. wazoo makes great stuff but their prices are up the wazoo (im sorry)
