South Carolina Head Coach Dawn Staley and Freshman Guards Tessa Johnson and MiLaysia Fulwiley met with members of the media following Sunday's 88-41 win over North Carolina in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament
@@margarethines9000 Basically it means she impacted her team in a positive way even though she didn’t contribute by scoring The plus/minus calculations provide insights into how well a team performs with a specific player on the court, considering both offensive and defensive contributions.
SC guard play is in good hands for the next 3 years with these 2 freshman....I don't think people realize that Tessa is 6'1 and can really shoot it. Great game
Dawn Staley is the best coach in all of Basketball to me right now Men's Women's NBA WNBA She's just the best overall Coach in the game to me. 🏀 ⛹🏾♀️ 🐐
I'm honored to know that her and my family grew up right down the street from her and my aunt in the same homeroom class as her at Dobbins. Philly's rooting for Dawn. The best coach around.
@@neetrabmy people also. We are from the same hood Diamond World, both hung at the Hank GATHERS Center. She knows my aunt's and them. I know her brother Top. She also use to dig in my ass went she coached at Temple and I was a student
😊Love this team and coach Staley!! You can feel the camaraderie, respect and appreciation for each other! Let's not take this for granted! We are blessed with coach Staley and the players she brings in. Go Gamecocks 🐓
Wow amazing performance by the the south Carolina Women team thus afternoon was a tough and physical and mental game tonight but by the end of the clock they came out in top.Hopefully they will win the championship this year. Great contributions tonight from Ashlyn,Kamilla, Te-hina and MiLaysia Tonight was a great afternoon for Gamecocks fans and Dawn Stanley as well.
I love the fact that Coach Dawn Staley(an offensive fireplug as a player)emphasizes defense and rebounding as a staple for the team. For example Coach spoke about Tessa playing well in other facets of the game even if she did not score in the first game.Coach knows Tessa can shoot as well as all of her players having the ability to score. But,defense an rebounding is a key to winning.Coach Staley and her staff are great teachers of the game.Great win.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Congratulations lady G’s, what a performance today continue to stand on business from start to finish, keep ya’ll eyes on the prize. revenge tour let’s goooo!!!
They just have stay humble and stay focused. This was an incredible win so enjoy, but you gotta stay focused on the mission. You’re just 5 games away from a championship… 5.
I love how our team never gives up on a play. If they miss a shot, they are scrapping for the 2nd chance points. They never stop playing hard even when they have a sizeable lead.
Great game! really fun to watch all the young ladies and how they come together! just phenomenal!!! but Fulwiely (Full throttle) brings that same energy and fearlessness that Staley brought to the game when she played. jaw-dropper in pairs! Congratulations and Good luck the rest of the way!
this is the complete team young or experienced they all are outstanding. makes me proud to be a gamecock alumni. if our other sports played like these girls it would a great thing, but right now the Gamecock girls basketball team is our flag ship sports program at the university of south carolina. the rest need alot of work!! alot of work!!
Whew!!! I felt that BUTT KICKIN' back here in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC area!😯👣😯 Sheesh... AWESOME job Lady Gamecocks! Go take it ALL, ladies!
I like the energy. Great win. Wish they would have finished the way they started so they carry that energy into the next game. One thing I think Kamila Cardosa needs to do that would help her become a more phenomenal player is learn to reposition herself when she catches the ball. Sometimes when she gets the ball around the basket she gets it in an awkward spot but she still attempts the shot without trying to reposition herself for a better shot or kick it back out and reposition herself for the kickback... Once she starts doing this she will really become a force on the offensive side of the ball. Otherwise she's a phenomenal player who is in my opinion probably the single most important piece to the sustained success of this team. 7:14
@@essencelove4253the plus 49 is specific to “points”. So her team outscored the other team by 49 points while she was on the floor. It’s impressive because she is a freshman, and even more impressive that she didn’t score any points herself.
