I can understand him. You find this joke under every youtube video nowadays its nothing original or funny anymore... You are not early you are pretty late with those shitty jokes so do not wonder if someone is annoyed to hear the same old shit over and over again under every fkin youtube video
When The Local Hero Joe Hendry made that promo against Adam the "This is how I would have booked Raw" Line if you look carefully, you can see Ramage break character for just a second and almost laugh, he is trying so hard to hold back his laughter.
I'm honestly enjoying the antics of the 'Local Hero' Joe Hendry. He's like this smarmy, cheeky character in the same light as Bo Dallas except for him it works so much better.
+aquintis burnett He comes across as a heel to me anyway. Just the way he carries himself and those idiosyncrasies of his character make me want to boo him but at the same time he's so good that I want to cheer him. The tag match in Episode 2 is the biggest example of this.
I think he'll be like a Seith Rollins in that he us suppose to be a heel but you want to cheer him anyway. In my opinion he will get over great as a heel tho.
Nicholas Sabater yes but sometimes it's about the wins and losses it's about how they how strong they look in the match. Think about both of hendry's losses weren't clean and he was booked like he could win the match but just came up short. Also do expect rampage to lose and waste all that build up?
5 things I dislike about WCPW 1. Commentary 2. Crowd 3. Bad Match Finishes (most matches endings aren't clean) 4. Bad Booking (Rampage lost his "monster" rep within weeks) 5. Not taken seriously Reply with your suggestions below so WCPW can be as best as possible.
Yeah when I first heard whatculture were getting their own wresting promotion I was excited but so far I've been disappointed along with a bunch of other fans
Tonights show was the worst so far, I agree on that, but the commentary is not the main Problem. Just give them time guys...they will get better, even without dissing them. And honestly the crowd was very good during the first episodes, i guess it just was a bad night. It happens...
I think the best thing that is helping wcpw is time fans and wrestling I give it 6 months I know it's a long time but in most likely 6 months more fans will watch more talent on the roster will be signed (not that there's no talent coz there is) and production will be better you Gota remember all promotions are not the best at the beginning look at pre extreme ecw it was years of boring crap but once things got going and they established there roster and brand they where amazing what i am saying is give wcpw some time it's still only Ep 3
that's what I keep saying man it takes time but ppl are too quick to judge and expect it to be high quality super professional with a million dollar budget but it can't be at least not yet they are using a big chunk of money for the talent so everyone just chill plz give it the time it needs to progress and grow as a show and a company. industries aren't built overnight
Well I thought it was going to be great for the first few months then around the 6 month mark start to turn to utter crap as they start out doing everything opposite of what WWE does to try to be different then slowly make all the same mistakes. Instead they came right out and immediately started to make the same mistakes they've even criticized WWE for. Mt guess is they wanted so hard to have a great roster they wanted to push everyone which means a majority of matches end in false finishes, their first match ended in no contest, their best match ended in no contest, they need to get their crap together, find out where they want to go, and turn their ship into the right direction.
+Nathanael Kathrein They have to be careful not to push wrestlers away. Plus without a big consistent roster (no binding contracts), they can't really have jobbers
Simon's commentary was on the last episode when I think he said "kicked out at 3" or something along those lines and then he was like "what I said made sense" lmao 😂😂😂😂
That smile from Rampage when Hendry mocked Adam. Omg. I laughed more at that than anything. To know that even the supposed BEAST that is Rampage can laugh when someone mocks his manager, just golden.
This is just the second show in the history of this promotion unlike many people I wasn't expected that WCPW would be on the level of other indy promotions like ROH or PWG just after their beginnings. Be patient people, the quality of the shows will do nothing but improve.
Gotta get some more lights in there guys. Great talent tho, awesome mic skills on both WC personality and wrestling talent. Although I love the indi feel, I would like to see some more stage and ring lighting. The ring lights just feel under powered and don't seem to let the DSLRs pick up a crisp image, and maybe stick some shotgun mics on the handheld cameras going around the ring, or get a mic a bit closer to the speakers that output the in-ring mics. Sometimes the in-ring mic is a little hard to hear over the crowd. Great job overall guys, it's got to be a stress factory trying to get the logistics of all this down. It's great to watch WCPW grow and evolve and improve, even after only 3 shows. Keep at it gents.
I actually think Blampied will be the one to make the turn on Rampage for not doing a piledriver. They're going to prep for some kind of double-turn where Rampage goes face and a face jumps heel, possibly Hendry or Conners, but definitely someone close to the storyline. That's the kind of stuff Blampied loves in booking.
The fact that Hendry brought up Blampied's "How WWE Should've Booked" series in his kayfabe promo was ridiculous. This isn't the first time WCPW has broken kayfabe, as well. If WCPW isn't going to take kayfabe seriously, then they shouldn't run a wrestling promotion. I enjoyed being at the first few shows, but the whole thing is still rife with issues. Bad booking (Which is extremely shocking, considering Blampied is booking), the random feel of the show, not taking the show seriously enough, bad commentary, I could go on. These issues can be improved upon, but the fact that they haven't taken kayfabe seriously right from the start is a serious concern, and it shouldn't EVER be a problem to begin with when running a wrestling promotion. Please fix this, WCPW.
The only problem with the booking is that you think it's bad, when all of the decisions so far have actually had an important purpose setting up characters and their motivations. I'm tired of people seeing a match between people who know one knows/cares about yet end in a way that establishes issues and just mindless shouting "fuck finish! bad booking!" like if you can't look deeper than that then don't bother commenting on it. Also they're not ignoring kayfabe, What Culture's youtube stuff is part of the kayfabe. I mean they brought over the What Culture Championship, the main event feud is a continuation of BX vs. Pacciti Club, like are they supposed to act as if those storylines weren't based around a bunch a people who made youtube videos? That would be fucking stupid. The company didn't come up the same way as other wrestling organizations, so no they're not gonna handle Kayfabe the same way. Again, don't complain if you're not gonna take the time to actually think about why these things are the way they are.
+pdragon619 Was Primate attacking Joe Coffey with a wrench develop anything, other than Primate is using stereotypical cheating heel stuff? What did that do for Primate, other than devalue his monster status? I'm not saying screwy finishes don't have their place, but WCPW is using way too many, unnecessarily, way too soon. Regarding Joe Hendry bringing up HWWESB, the whole purpose of that show is to rebook an angle, and booking isn't supposed to exist in a kayfabe setting, where everything is supposed to be presented as real. Sure, everyone knows wrestling is pre-determined these days, but that doesn't mean you blatantly break it like Hendry did. I'm sure Hendry wasn't even thinking about that when he said what he said, but my point remains: you must keep kayfabe at all times in your kayfabe environment.
Oliver Smith Yes actually it does. It puts over Coffey as being just as much of a beast as Primate is. Showing that Primate had to resort to cheating to get the upper hand, but at the same time allowing him to dominantly impose his will on Coffey. This gives them a reason to fight and have beef with one another other than "Suzie said Coffey wasn't man enough to be her guy one time", it gives everyone more story and character to work with. Also while you call it generic, it actually adds a layer to Primate's character, because being a dominant "beast' is actually just as generic as a heel who cheats to win. This match shows that he actually has more than one facate. Yes he's capable of dominating most men through his strength alone, but if someone does push him to his limits he's not above using a weapon to put them in their place. Again he didn't cheat to win the match, he straight up just wanted to hurt Coffey and prove a point, as if insulted by the fact that he was doing so well in the match. It shows that not only is he a beast, but he's prideful, and he's prone to lashing out whenever his usual unmatched strength is challenged. Not only that but it sets up for them to have another match with higher stakes, perhaps even a hard core match of some kind to allow Coffey to even the odds. Honestly this match does way more for their feud than just having one of them go over clean would. In fact it does so much more in fact that it's kinda baffling how you couldn't see it yourself?
+pdragon619 There's nothing wrong with being an unthinking beast bent on destruction. It's simple and timeless. Being a cheating heel is played out and boring. What's wrong with Primate being taken to his limit by Coffey, but Primate still wins clean via a quick roll-up or something?
Didnt think I could like joe hendry anymore than I already did until he drpped that truth bomb on blampied. The local hero is who they should build the federation around.
Suggestion: maybe you could make a whole 'nother youtube channel for specifically WCPW, or perhaps just make it a single large video? Completely biased towards by own preferences with these suggestions, but i'm still just throwing it out there.
I didn't actually stick around to watch it live because there wasn't really a point I found when the chat was removed, I mean it's already not actually live since this is recorded weeks before the episodes are put up on youtube so it was just a playing of a pre-recorded series of fights and things cut together with Adam and King talking over it. Kevin Dunne should not be a part of WCPW, let people voice their opinion even if they are stupid opinions imo
Tech wise I feel you should try to white balance the cameras and test your mikes beforehand but I am hopeful these are things that'll improve as we go on
Wow, I made it this early, I need to come up with something to say that will catch everyone's attention. "I could totally beat up Rampage!" What have you done.
I have to say, cutting the comments from the live feed killed the desire I had to stick around and watch it, since the show is already pre recorded and stitched together it isn't actually ... Live so to speak but yeah, taking away the voices from your viewers is something you guys give out to WWE for doing all the time, what is the story with taking the same approach to your live stream? Was Rybacks younger brother afraid he would be mentioned for being dropped from the commentary desk? I'm sure Mr Miller will live on with other roles in WCPW and he is even training so he can possibly step into the ring. I personally found this a big shame from WCPW, watched ep 1+2 live, but this one like I said, wasn't actually live and without the feedback or ability to leave feedback I just felt there was little point to watching it "live" Viewership was at 9k when I left the feed... did it peak the 15k of last weeks with Lethal? I hope you guys get more viewers each week because you are in general fantastic creators, but this muting of the fans.... aye, tis a WTF moment for sure.
There is no discussion happening in the live chat, it was all spam. If you want to make a comment about your thoughts on the show then join the squared circle live thread or twitter
triple threat for the title Also, Blampied is doing exactly what he said the WWE should've done with Goldberg; let him destroy, let Boschoff do all the talking
