He dives to the roots of all martial arts. The essence of movement and power. Deeply than anyone I know. And I have 42 years of martial Taekwondo and other martial arts.
Very great job! D.K. YOO is for me the new scholar of martial art. I glad to see that there is some figthers who understand the all complexity of martial art and his use for human life. I think that true martial artist are also philosophers. Just very few people know that Bruce Lee wrotes books about martial art philosophy. Now with "MMA" martial arts are becoming more and more a sport than a way of improve and expresse yourselfs through a fiting way. sorry for mt english ^^'...
+Viz Tube some video editing software add "stabilization" to their videos, hence why sometimes you can see the jitter or shake in some videos, but DK Yoo has never used stabilization in his other videos before. So I guess he just shakes the floor when he moves?
+Satrio Prahasto I think your guess is right. I was there and felt his movement from the concrete floor. Some his other videos shows how to use gravity to increase and deliver power. However, I am not 100% sure that the cameras were shaken by his movement. At least I guess so.
When DK get attacked his reaction to the attack reminds me of the citation of Mr B. Lee be water my friend. Let me put it like this. When you throw a rock in water it makes waves. When you attack DK he makes "waves" with his body and with that "waves" he hits back. At least this is what i see. Its very interesting
short and mid-range combat is highly effective. A great evasive in smothering your opponents and striking them. DK Yoo knife combat is REAL shit. I practice in knife combat/ evasive hand to hand combat. I bashed him before, but good more I do my research on him his combat system is so similar to my own. goodshit
We will never know for all he does is demonstrate, but it's actually effective if you know how to hit people. This offensive is not made for combat with rules and regulations. It's designs to finish your opponents quickly. MMA was not designed for rules, but they were able to do so which crippled a lot of veterans of the event who possessed savage styles. DK Yoo is a mystery. I would love to see how effective he is in full contract instead of demonstrations tho.
I would love to see this guy sparring with someone who doesn't respect him or just stand there. Don't get me wrong. I think he'd do very well. This looks legit. I'd just like to see it.
