WDR BIG BAND & Yellowjackets - Full Concert 

The WDR BIG Band performs the concert "Jackets XL" together with the Yellowjackets under the direction of Bob Mintzer during the Leverkusener Jazztage 2019. The Yellowjackets are Russel Ferrante (piano, Fender Rhodes), Bob Mintzer (tenor saxophone, EWI), Dane Alderson (bass) and Will Kennedy (drums). Produced for WDR Jazzline under the direction of Elmar Herkrath; edited by Peter Sommer and the manager of the WDR BIG BAND: Friederike Darius.
In November 2019, two internationally acclaimed bands met on stage at the Leverkusen Jazz Days. Chief conductor, bandleader and saxophonist Bob Mintzer came with his band, the Yellowjackets, and presented the quartet's music, which Mintzer arranged for the WDR Big Band. The result was the joint CD "Jackets XL", which was nominated for the prestigious GRAMMY music award exactly two years later.
