just to warn people, it's the second coming of shigatsu wa kimi disaster where weebs comment quotes and where they come from in manga/anime related videos.
To be a bit more informative... There are some parts of dance or any sport that are meant to come naturally and other parts where you must teach your body to behave a certain way. This in particular is something that may look uncomfortable but as a dance you become used to.
The classical composer's waltzes may be very nice but their tempos (speed etc.) may not be right for International Ballroom dancing sometimes. And, the waltz music there are actually very suitable and fit to these Waltz dances/ steps for competition and practice purposes.
Thank you for reply, but there are hundreds if not thousands of classical waltzes to chose from. In any case, the waltz came before all these insipid compositions. What did they dance to then? EVERY waltz is 3/4 time; that has been the standard all over the world since the nineteenth century. It is really no mystery. This music evinces a total lack of taste.
Yes, they do use some of the classical melodies Notice their speeds are regulated that it could not be too fast nor too slow.. Ballroom needs the melodic flow that could fit with the steps and some classic melodies might be to complicated and all they need for competition is around 3 minutes to 4 minutes per song.
