It's never too late. I was thinking the same when I was your age. "I am so old! Others started so early!" But at 30 you'll have 12 years of practive and be super cool xD
Okay so call me what you will but I recently got into ballroom dancing because of that anime “Ballroom e Youkoso”. No, I’m not going to be a fucking idiot who thinks he knows what he’s talking about because he saw an anime about dancing but it genuinely brought up an interest in ballroom dancing. I have a new appreciation for the dances and I’ve fallen in love with it on my own. I’m pretty new to this and I still have yet to do much of my own research but can anybody explain why the songs always end in the middle? It’s happened in all the videos I’ve seen so far and it’s really annoying.each couple only gets like 30 seconds to dance and then it’s “get off”. Can someone better versed in this stuff than me please explain why that is?
@I am a walking Friend zone That's because in the finals sometimes before all the couples dancing the final together, the couples get the the chance to present themselves. So an, introductory or presentation dance. It's however normal to let this intro not be longer than appr. 30 sec. Only to give a glimpse of a couple, though all the attention goes to the couple alone at that moment. It is a gesture to the public, to make the comp a bit more epic. But it also gives the judges the chance to look at each couple apart, as judges normally don't have time to look in great detail to the couples while dancing together.
Why do these ladies all break their backs so fiercely? That will later give back problems, if they dance for a few more years. The gentlemen do not do that anyway.
Forget it. I have been dancing for 22 years. They overstretch their backs, and will have problems when they will be older. This is not a natural poise in dancing.
