Personally some of the reasons I appreciate both Keith and Brian (SV Delos) are their repair skills. I like to see that sailing repairs are possible with the correct tools. Thank you 😊 (I'm glad to see you take phone photos......Id do the same)
Yes. The sailors who show the kind of work that must be done when you sail this much illustrate that it’s not just that you need to know how to sail. Proper boat maintenance will take up a lot of time. If you are able to do it yourself, you will be better able to reach your sailing goals and you will save money. Not everyone, however can do the extensive and more complicated work we see some RU-vidrs going.

Oohhh eeeeyuckkk! (The gross little bugs in the pasta reminds me of some sweaters we had made, that arrived with little bugs hiding in them. I'm a fashion designer in Canada, and years ago we had some sweaters made in a Bangladesh factory, and the factory secretly subcontracted them to another factory for less cost. That cheaper factory was open to the elements, and as the sweaters were made, the bugs would fly into the looms and lay eggs in the sweaters before they were packed up and sent to Canada. When the sweaters arrived, you could see random black spots throughout the sweaters, especially the cream and light grey coloured sweaters, which were tiny dead bugs. Needless to say, the entire shipment had to be destroyed and the factory was forced to return the money we paid them.) I love the grassroots spirit of this rally. Every island did their own special things, with everyone pitching in. It reminds me of the fairs and celebrations we had in my hometown growing up 😊

Keith it’s easy to see where your kids get their confidence from as you have a crack at anything with great success. I loved this video. I like watching you guy’s interact with other cultures. It’s so nice that sailors can show how normal people can adapt and just be happy with other cultures. Loved the rap song from Finn and Jack 😂. Keith is just a all around guy that can do just about anything.
We sailed a 32x11x6draft steel sailboat,fur 7 years, no engine! Finally made enuff "Plata ", smuggling pot, to have a 50'x14x6' marine alloy, alum. Sailboat built! Everything brand new, gave me the opportunity to maintain, repair and keep up with Brian n Keith! Always proffered a sling spear, as able to spear up tp 9 crawfish, before going back to our whaler!

When freediving, you want to avoid hyperventilating. It's a common cause of shallow water blackout as it tricks the body into thinking it has more oxygen than it actually does. One deep breath is all you need. Love the content! Yall rock.

As someone that spent many days on boats and ships all through the years. Ship shape is a real thing lol I live in NW Montana but have spent months on ships. We had full mechanical rooms, complete with extra steel ,wielders, grinders etc. The engineer on a ship is an important guy. Kieth seems to be a good engineer. Watching this families adventures makes me smile. Good luck and God bless guys.

AMAZING, Maldives land area of islands is only 115 sq. Miles, that's a bit bigger than St. Kitts and smaller than Grenada, with 580,000 people plus tourists. But 253,000 of them live in Male on 3.58 sq miles of islands.. Incredible when you see aerial shots of Male just packed wall to wall on the ocean. So, Loving the videos Zatara. It is wonderful seeing you all immersing yourself in the Maldivian culture. It is an amazing educational experience to interact with other cultures and truly expand your worldly knowledge. I enjoy watching your on the water adventures and family dynamics but seeing the on-land experiences opens my eyes to other cultures and countries as well. The "best" education includes ALL the information. The Maldives presents a slick, well honed pristine face to the tourists it so desperately depends upon all the while being one of the worlds biggest environmental vandals by creating an entire man-made island on top of ocean coral which consists entirely of human waste and debris.

The pasta weevils in 12:58 I had that issue at home. Experienced unusual bites on my body. And I saw a few of those weevils (as seen in your video). I thought they were bed bugs but they are not. My home is scrupulously clean all the time, minimalist style and no garbage ever stays indoors overnight. No exposed food. Im OCD when it comes to cleanliness. Then, after checking every cabinet and sq ft of the home, I finally found the source: Inside the pantry, there was a punctured bag of rolled oats. Inside that bag, I saw more than 10 of those longish weevils shown in your video. Those weevils were not seen anywhere else. They can actually jump/fly a few feet. Bitter lesson learned: Always check the packing of rice, pasta, oats, muesli and grain-related stuff. Always ensure they are kept inside air-tight, properly sealed containers.

Tanzania is going to be an incredible trip. I was just fifty yards over the border in Kenya and the wildlife safaris are an absolute must do. Something you will never forget, if you haven't already done them that is.

Well done with the Potentiometers, Kieth. I work with flight simulators and all the throttles, yokes and dials use pots to control them, you get pretty good at dealing with problems with those things. A bad pot can cause a lot of issues. Cheers!
How exciting that you're heading to Tanzania! Beautiful country. I live in Australia now but was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in South Africa. Would be really cool to see you guys head south from Tanzania towards Madagascar, another stunning country. Would you guys consider South Africa? Not sure if you've been? Another great episode! Kobelt engine controls are very popular in the pacific northwest USA and Alaska with commercial vessels and fishing boats as they can be repaired with simple tools and parts (just like you did). ZF and other brands might seem more robust but if they fail you will need a new circuit board or expensive diagnostic equipment or have parts sent away for long periods of time to have repaired or replaced. ZF does not have a manual back up option like Kobelt either. Just my 2 cents.
