That Mac and cheese looked amazing!!! You should do a virtual map of the country in the end of each video that kind of fills up as you travel, or would be fun to a physical map in the van with pins of all the spots/parks you went to :)
I loved Shenandoah National Park. Great park and somewhat underrated, I think. I stayed in a little cabin with mice (never saw them or signs of them, but heard them scurrying around). Too bad I couldn't have told you to get a blackberry milkshake, it's a true Shenandoah treat. BTW, Salmon is expensive--but wild cod is a very good fish, high in Omega 3s--mild and you can get frozen of good quality. Be sure to dry very well after taking out of a package.
@@ChadandClaire Should do this with any meat actually, but if it's frozen it will have more moisture and will be kind of soggy. I do this with a paper towel but I realized something you might not want to use so much paper. OTOH, you could poach frozen (in water or broth) add dill weed, lemon juice, olive oil, etc. ) maybe 15 minutes or until it flakes--might be more. You can throw fresh or frozen spinach , and perhaps sliced potatoes. That's an excellent meal. Poaching is easy...It's super good for you --cod is full of anti-oxidants, Omegas 3. If you dry it, you can saute in olive oil. (I had to up my game with fish, so I am eating much more of it--never had a clue how to cook it.)
My boyfriend and I have so been in your shoes with the entrance fees and having to choose to walk away :( this bridge we did end up paying the fee and it was a pretty cool walk and seeing the initials carved in rocks and theres a cave entrance along the walk. Also, there was water flowing into a cave and we never did see the exit of that water.
Yeah it's tough to say no to things, but choosing to not do things really helps us to be able to travel more. Glad you had a great time! We will have to go back someday.
