Every year over 100,000 tonnes of used large tyres are left on our farms and mine sites. Once these tyres reach end of life, they’re stockpiled, buried onsite or sent to landfill.
Why is this? It’s because we as a country, have not developed the capability to repurpose these big tyres.
So, we’re looking for Australia’s brightest minds and enterprises to help develop solutions that will increase tyre resource recovery in infrastructure, mining, agricultural and construction applications.
We want to support out of the box thinking -practical commercial solutions to solve an old problem.
